Two things for your delectation. How great to see Hillary on the campaign trail. I’ve missed her. A lot.
And she comes out swinging in a vibrant bold attack on the years of Republican mismanagement
“Make no mistake about it. We’ve done it before and we will do it again. America will once again rise from the ashes of the Bushes.”
America can rise indeed. Especially with Hillary on the stump. Inspiring stuff. But it won’t rise with ‘post turtle’ Sarah Palin.
So hands up. Who remembers what a Post Turtle is?
Someone must be reading Spiffy’s diaries here because anEnglish Newspaper has featured the Post Turtle Tale.
A 75-year-old Texas rancher recently explained this term to a country doctor. The conversation turned to the US election, and Sarah Palin’s vice-presidential candidacy, and the old rancher observed:
“Well, ya know, Palin is a post-turtle.”
The bemused doctor asked what a post-turtle was, and the old man replied:
“When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a post-turtle…. You know she didn’t get up there by herself, she doesn’t belong up there, she doesn’t know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with.”
Post Turtle Palin was put on a pedestal by McCain and Schmidt.
Hillary shattered the glass ceiling with 18 million votes.
No contest.
