So, who did win the IGP* debate last night?  I heard some say Romney did.  Others insist Perry pwned Romney on the health care being dropped from his platform thing. Many have dismissed Bachmann altogether at this point.  If you didn’t get to watch it, don’t miss this round-up.

Lots of goodness afoot with the jobs bill.

Ayup…summer’s gone.  It’s rainy right now in Portland, but still a beautiful morning.  I had a kitteh on my lap for a good while, which always makes for good start to the day.  He is so kyooot!  He lets me grab him by the nape of his neck to put him in my lap and everything.

Fun stuff, but nothing that’s quite a diary in and of itself, so hey…add what you’ve found!

Tomorrow is a global day of action to stop the unconstitutional and unethical execution of Troy Davis.

It’s definitely full of all kinds of goodness, but above all else:

The President’s plan calls for legislation that would make it unlawful to refuse to hire applicants solely because they are unemployed or to include in a job posting a provision that unemployed persons will not be considered.

It also gives tax breaks for hiring the long-term unemployed.  That is all discussed in section three, “Pathways back to work.”
