Interrogatories

We need a major scandal, celebrity or Republican, to fill the cable news hours. What would your favorite scandal look like? (h/t KelleyRN2 for the question)

What is the best dessert of all time?

What was the last foolhardy thing you did? (It doesn’t have to be major.)

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever eaten (even just a taste)?

With that little oxymoron left to fry your brains, I now offer… ANSWERS!

I think we are about due for a new Gay Republican scandal. Someone (naturally) who relentlessly campaigns against gays and publicly says horrible things about them. Bryan Fischer is my candidate of choice for this scandal.

Creme Brulee is the best dessert of all time. Hands down.

The last foolhardy thing I did was baking bread while wearing black. I wasn’t thinking.

The most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten is… liver. Really, I never was that adventurous an eater, so I don’t have anything better to offer you. Boogers? When I was a toddler. I think that may be worse than liver.

Fischer is also my choice.  Any scandal involving Rushbo would be almost too sweet.

For me, the best dessert ever came to my table in a small pub in the English Cotswolds.  Sticky Toffee Pudding with heavy cream.  That was the closet I’ve ever come to licking my dish clean (in public).

I’ve done way too many foolish things to make public here!

I’ve always rather liked liver and onions but put my foot down at the thought of kidneys (ever smelled them cooking?).  Ugh.  Anyway, on a trek in northern England we were given “steak and mushroom” pie for dinner but a quick taste settled the fact there were no mushrooms in the pie.  It was actually a steak and kidney pie.  Chunks of steak, rich dark gravy and flaky crust.  Never had one as good since.  Haggis was another item which I though would be disgusting beyond belief but it was not.  Not that I wake up dreaming of haggis for dinner…..

Scandal:  so many possibilities…how about something involving Clarence Thomas and Scalia.

    Best dessert:  cheesecake.  All day

Foolhardy:  well…my husband and I hadn’t had a night out in a while and so my parents came to watch the kids.  We had three hours.  I got a bit too rowdy and drank too much wine.  Then had to go home in front of my parents.  Even at almost forty it was embarrassing to be caught drunk by my parents.  And the next day sucked.

Disgusting food:  soft boiled egg.  It’s a texture thing.

  4. My favorite was definitely The Tweet of God but this one deserves an honorable mention:

And Jesus said: “Love they neighbor, unless they are gay or poor or liberal or a RINO or anyone who disagrees with you. USA! USA!”

And PUNS!! “Never trust an Atom”!!

Ha Ha Hover! “Miranda reacts to the cancellation of her private market insurance policy.” She appears to be surrounded by other DeMinted folks who are woe is them’ing.

Oh, clay … better skip quickly past some of ewer hovers.

I was just struck by the fact that laughing at ‘Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead!’ will always mark us as of a certain era. Will that ever stop being funny?

p.s. We do not have to wait for the barbarians. They arrived in 2009, looted and pillaged our states and hopefully will get sent back to whereverbarbarianscomefrom (Heritage Foundation?) starting tomorrow.

Anything, as long as it takes Ted Cruz out of public life forever.

What is the best dessert of all time?

Chocolate cheesecake. With chocolate crust, of course.

What was the last foolhardy thing you did? (It doesn’t have to be major.)

Ridden my bike on a city street. In the bike lane. (I just this morning read the saddest thread ever in the Austin bike list – the guy who runs the BikeAustin website & his whole family are giving up cycling. His wife came home from her 4th scary encounter with a driver in as many weeks, too terrified to get back on a bike again. A guy in a pickup was actually trying to run her down. They’re buying a car. The main advocate for safe cycling in Austin is giving up & buying a car.)

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever eaten (even just a taste)?

Back before I was a vegetarian, I actually liked excargot. They taste like mushrooms, my favorite food in the world.
