    I’m not a Democrat- I used to be a Republican. But sane and Republican are rarely, if ever, synonymous any longer. So. Works for me, I suppose.

    Nice to see some new (to me, anyway) faces; having abandoned the GOS ’round about the time of the midterms in 2010, some of your names I recognize, others not; but I look forward to chatting with you all.

    Not to mention inflicting cat and horse pictures on youse guys now and then, coz that’s just how I roll.

    A move by Shell to avoid millions in Alaska state taxes may have backfired when the oil rig Kulluk ran aground Monday on Kodiak Island. The rig initially went adrift while it was being towed to a shipyard and tax shelter in Seattle. Instead, the vessel found itself literally stuck inside Alaska at the start of the new year.

    Conservative co-worker proceeded to explain to me that liberals are responsible for mass shootings because they refuse to institutionalize people because “crazy people have rights too” and Obama wants to deinstitutionalize everyone.

    Am I missing something?
