    Not great but good……

but McCain came off as smarmy……..and scary.  Any one who votes for that phony deserves anything they lose.

We all thought that Obama did a FABULOUS job…he had real substance…rather than repeated talking points…

Let’s see the polls. But this was worse than the first time.

Barack played it safe. No harm no foul.

    No gamechangers.

because i have had enough to drink that it becomes a little more tolerable (not really) but i can’t guarantee the accuracy…

Just can’t hardly take this fuckin’ negative campaign shit anymore. It’s wearing on me hard, along with all the other stressful life stuff. Glad to hear Obama did well. As long as he didn’t tank, he came out a clear winner. Wonder how much better the polls can get for him?

  6. Just as he did in the first debate. He has to reassure uncommitted voters about his ability to be president. He’s done a great job at that in both debates. That’s all he needs to do to win.

OBAMA: Now, Sen. McCain suggests that somehow, you know, I’m green behind the ears and, you know, I’m just spouting off, and he’s somber and responsible.

    MCCAIN: Thank you very much.

OBAMA: Sen. McCain, this is the guy who sang, “Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran,” who called for the annihilation of North Korea. That I don’t think is an example of “speaking softly.”

“Now, how — what’s — what’s the best way of fixing it? Nuclear power. Sen. Obama says that it has to be safe or disposable or something like that”

” By the way, my friends, I know you grow a little weary with this back-and-forth. It was an energy bill on the floor of the Senate loaded down with goodies, billions for the oil companies, and it was sponsored by Bush and Cheney.

You know who voted for it? You might never know. That one. You know who voted against it? Me. I have fought time after time against these pork barrel — these bills that come to the floor and they have all kinds of goodies and all kinds of things in them for everybody and they buy off the votes.”

    That what?

    Child? um…….

  10. lying his ass off.

Andrew Sullivan live-blogged the debate. This is what he had to say after the debate. “All I can say is that, simply on terms of substance, clarity, empathy, style and authority, this has not just been an Obama victory. It has been a wipe-out.”

    Chris,

It’s Lori Andrews, met you at Dr. Letts’s house for the first debate. What’s your take on this debate and do you still think Obama landslide?

but I was thinking more on how Americans like “drama” and the American Idol experience.  Seriously, we have too many citizens that do not judge on substance but on style.

I still thought Obama won on style too……just wasn’t as great there.

Maybe this elections will get us back to substance after decades of style winning……with the help of the media of course.
