Motley Monday Check in and Mooselaneous Musings

 photo Monday1_zps943d9af1.jpg

Good morning Motley Meese! Hope your weekend was lovely. Sorry it’s over so soon.

PLEASE Don’t Recommend the check-in diary!

Fierces on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

The check-in is an open thread and general social hour. Come back when time allows through the day – the conversation continues.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

Predicting close to 60 by Friday here in the Shenandoah Valley. Bring it!

First day of physical therapy today and I admit I’m a little nervous. But meanwhile…

fine. The first time is like the first day of school! Soon you will be looking forward to going!

And for all other Meese, have a great day and stay out of trouble.

12 degrees here – icy – snow tomorrow

Heading out to school early so I can go slowly and try to walk even more slowly across the campus.

    Good luck with PT Iriti!

Up this early because I have acupuncture. I’ll come home after & take a nap. Very few other thoughts in my head. Feet still hurt a hell of a lot. I have a bruise on one ankle I have no idea how that happened, and a blister on one foot that I didn’t even notice till I put arnica on my foot. And I don’t dare breathe too vigorously, I’m pretty wheezy.

Anyway, today: acupuncture, nap, cook for next week, massage, finish cooking.

Oh and the weather — I’m really sorry – we’re having 80 degree highs all week. But it actually worries me, it’s a bit early for that. Some of the runners were unhappy yesterday, but it didn’t bother me.

Good morning…..We enjoyed a fun evening with our sons, DIL,  grand girls, and grand puppies last night. I’m teaching da boys how to cook some of the family old favorites using my well seasoned wok. Last night was ham fried rice with fresh snow peas.

They are both good cooks so it’s fun to be in the kitchen together and share the techniques that just can’t be written as clearly.

the sun’s shining right now.  Sinus headache – not helpful as I have budget things to do today and my brain is fuzzy.  Budget and fuzzy brain do not go together.

    {{{iriti}}} good luck at P.T.

The little weather bug on my computer says 25 F. but we have brilliant blue skies and sunshine this morning. I haven’t had to look after Miss Pink Cheeks since last Wednesday, owing to two consecutive snow days, the weekend, the holiday today, and her mother’s doctor appointment tomorrow. Mommy will take her to day care on Tuesday, so I must write as much as possible while I’m off.

Feel pretty good this morning as the cold seems to be going away. Dearly Beloved is still under the weather, though. He didn’t go to work this morning nor last Monday morning.

We are contemplating a journey to the West Coast before the baby is born. It’s been years since we visited San Francisco and we didn’t spend nearly enough time in Seattle last fall, we were so focused on getting to Victoria. I’d love to take a ferry to Vashon Island and see where Betty McDonald lived. She wrote some of the funniest books I’ve ever read! My favorites were Anybody Can Do Anything and Onions in the Stew. My mother and sister read them too and we quoted bits of those books to each other for umpteen years.

Today: get the remaining six stories in shape for the desktop publisher or die in the attempt! Hope everyone will have a good day and stay warm!

    howdy!

about 23˚, brutal SE wind at about 20, gusting much higher. freezing rain and then 4-6″ of that white crap. grateful i’m not commuting today!

  9. It is 23 degrees and we are in the middle of a winter storm that is expected to dump 7 inches of snow and has cancelled many area schools. It looks like it will get to 26 degrees but the big news is that later in the week (maybe as soon as tomorrow) we will see temperatures in the 40s. Woo hoo!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ok, I feel like a person again. Acupuncture this morning, tylenol, lunch had ginger in it, and I drank a tumeric drink, then a 90 minute massage.

I’m eating tacos for dinner, because I’m doing that cleanse thing again starting tomorrow. There’s a new Castle tonight, gotta stay up for that — and considering that I feel semi-normal, that’s probably ok.

I’m not going to mention our weather, I don’t want anyone to hate us.
