Friday Coffee Hour: Check In and Hangout for the Herd

Good morning, Moosekind. TGIF! Hope it has been a good week for everyone.

PLEASE Do Not Recommend the check-in diary!

Recs on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

Friday Coffee Hour and check-in is an open thread and general social hour. Come back when time allows through the day – the conversation continues.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

    What a week!

23 here, headed down as low as 17 before back up to 38. Ice storm tomorrow. Yay?

MRI this evening, with a 78% chance of torn rotator cuff in left shoulder. I’d actually call that near 100%, the real question being ‘how badly torn?’ We shall see. Is 2013 over yet?

Special check in planned for Christmas Day; focusing on the secular fun holiday, I promise. Be there or be square, if only for a moment!

  2. 15 degrees here on its way up to 23 with a few snow showers expected later in the day.

The tendency to not start anything until I’ve had a cup of coffee is not called “procaffinating” … it is called necessity. (Hey, spell-checker, you got a problem with iriti’s word??? Meh.) Although sometimes I start after only a glug or two.

Oh noes!! Rotator cuff? That does not sound good at all. 🙁 Take care.

I will be there for your Christmas Day-iry.

Now … off to the rat race …

Warm enough this morning that I just needed a hoodie, no heavy coat or gloves. No freezes for at least a week, so – yay!

Weigh-in was depressing this morning, but considering that I literally didn’t move at all yesterday, that’s not surprising. And tomorrow’s workout will be tough, because I didn’t get in any of the “between” workouts this week. Sigh.

Holiday party for my Dem club tonight, that’ll be nice. But I gotta get to bed early, with that damned 5:30 wake up (to be out the door, having eaten something by 6:30). As I do every Friday, I ask why the hell I signed up for a workout that starts at 7am Saturdays.

    Not much above freezing but H2O doesn’t really care where the temp is between freezing and steaming, just as long as it is.  As it’s “Dead Day” I might actually be able to finish the 1st draft of the rest of 2014 class schedules.  (I don’t know who invented that term for the day between the last day of classes and the first day of finals – and no, we weren’t allowed to use it as a snow day so the MWF students are 2 days short going into finals – but it sux.)  I hope so as I’ve got to get it into the scheduling system by the end of next week.  As JanF says, “need moar coffee” 🙂  Youse guyz stay safe – warm if you can – and have a nice weekend.  {{{HUGS}}}

I’m glad to have normal weather returning…all my frozen plants are perking up.

I’ve got the “I’m not a real quilter” blues today. The sewing part is all very nice, but my novice quilting skills are showing, oh noes! My grand girls will love their story quilts and never notice, but picky me knows how it “should” be done.

    Pesky perfectionism!
