Motley Monday Check in and Mooselaneous Musings

 photo iz-dis-fing-on_zpsa847a99a.jpg

Good morning Motley Meese! Hope your weekend was lovely.

PLEASE Don’t Recommend the check-in diary!

Fierces on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

The morning check-in is an open thread and general social hour. Come back when time allows through the day – the conversation continues.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

Headed up just a few degrees to 61 or so the weather folks say. Supposed . Get way colder starting tomorrow.

Hugs to any of you affected by yesterday’s storms.

  2. The cold has started here. The storm did not do much damage in our area (some wind damage) but the front moving through did leave us with a temperature of 34 degrees and expectations that the high won’t be above 38. Yesterday it was in the low 60s.

We had periods of high winds and lashing rain but mostly it was drizzly and gloomy.

It is Monday. Thank you for the kittens but it will take more than that to fix the fact that I slacked off this weekend and now have a full Inbox and stack of must-do projects.

Have a great day, all y’alls!!

lashing rain and winds last night swept in a mild 53 going up to 64 here in Saugerties NY.

Those kittens are so adorable – I miss having one, my two fully grown cats have no kittenish behaviors.

It hit 90 here yesterday. Even for us, that’s hot for November. Not gonna do that today, but still warm enough for sandals this morning.

Eating breakfast & drinking tea. Things have gotten worse with my dispute with my property management company. Going to e-mail my insurance company as soon as I’m awake enough to be coherent. (I got a letter not from them but from their law firm). They persented me with a bill nearly a year after my unit flooded, said it took that long because the person wasn’t “on board” at the time (a lie & I’ve sent them copies of the e-mails that prove it); there is one item in there that definitely has nothing to do with a flood (an eve fell off the roof a month before the flood), oh and they presented these same items to the people upstairs claoming their dishwasher flooded my unit a month before the actual flood that happened that had nothing to do with them. I told them that between those 3 things, I’m not even looking at their bill any more. They seem a bit peeved by that.

Got a busy day ahead, and it will fortunately be a warm day today, mid-60’s. Watchbands to make, yarn to wash, beef stew planned for dinner, shipping to do, and computer updates.

    I may need more coffee.

sunshine after a night of showers that hid the full moon from view (rats), and going up to 66 F.

Got Miss Pink Cheeks off to preschool this morning–she ate SIX baby pancakes with butter and peach jam–and promised her that if she continues to feel quite well, we’ll make chocolate chip cookies after she gets home from preschool.

Her mother thought she seemed a little warm this morning, but the princess didn’t behave as if she were suffering from anything.

Dearly bought chicken curry at Costco the other day, so we’re having that with Basmati rice tonight, a bit of salad with it, and thawed mango chunks from Trader Joe’s for afters.

Still have lots to do re tidying the house before Thanksgiving, which will be here before we know it. I worked it out that I won’t have to cook any desserts–just thaw and heat.  Ha! Now I can concentrate on the other things.

Hope everyone will have a good day!

    I split firewood and stacked it on the porch, but won’t be home much this week to use it (3 QC meetings – tonight, tomorrow, & Thursday).  I need the box of kittens – dealing with people who cut good budgets just because they can (if we funded everybody at what they asked for, we’d be budgeting 85% of our allowable leaving 15% for contingencies) is bloody depressing.  Especially when the complaint is the amount of the request when said request includes what they asked for and were denied last year.  Hope all the mid-west meeses are OK.  {{{HUGS}}}

But we are in Seattle, where it’s about the same. Last night’s concert was great fun, but my head was to full of music to sleep so it’s going to be a long day.
