  1. For National Egg Day, how do you like your eggs?

Usually over medium, if it’s just eggs. But I like them in cakes and pies and egg salad and potato salad and deviled eggs… AND I really love good soft-boiled eggs with vinegar and buttered toast now and then. That is a true comfort food, reminding me of my mom.

Who is your least favorite (most hated) politician?

Every politician who is more interested in themselves than in service.

I’m not really a pundit gal.

    Eggs scrambled, please!

Even though he is now largely irrelevant, it’s still Tom Delay.  But Grover Norquist is right up there.

Tucker Carlson.  No, wait, Michele Malkin.  No, wait, Ann Coulter.  No, wait….

    Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders.

It seems a little insulting to reduce them to mere pundits, but the first names that came to mind were Paul Krugman and Robert Reich.  If I have to choose TV personalities, I’ll go with Rachel Maddow, Bill Moyers, and Melissa Harris-Perry.

  6. Gee

1924 – Jimmy Rogers, American blues singer and guitarist (not the yodeler) (d. 1997)

Wait, so there were three of them with roughly the same name?  (You remember the folk singer who sang Kisses Sweeter Than Wine?)

  7. another person’s perception, and how it is quite different from mine. I said

I DO see there are two parts in most stories, two (or more) different perceptions of what happened or what should happen. I know I only have part of the information for any given situation. I think I am reality-based, but of course all I know is what I know.

And the words kept rattling in my head until this morning, when I thought of the Paul Simon song, I Know What I Know.

  8. raina

    well, not really…

over medium, I can tolerate runny yolks, but not whites. Gag.

Least fav pol? Geez, depends. Currently in office-Mitch A’hole Connell. All time- a tie between Tom Delay and Sarah Palin, and maybe McCain for foisting SP on us.

Least fav pundit- not counting the ones on Fox news- Ed

Favorite pol- well, aside from Obama, of course, of course, Elizabeth Warren.

Favorite pundit- Lawrence O’Donnell because he gave the smack-down to certain frustrated people, MHP, and RM.

Sad news from NJ today; Sen. Lautenberg has died.  Christie will get to name a temporary replacement until a special election, although I’ve seen conflicting reports on whether that will be Nov 2013 or Nov 2014.  R.I.P. Lautenberg

I can deal with them is someone else cooks them. I love migas.

Who is your least favorite (most hated) politician?

It was close between Rand Paul & Newt Gingrich, but Newt takes it for the sheer volume of audacious hypocracy.

Who is your least favorite pundit?

Rush Limbaugh see above re: hypocracy

    Who is your favorite politician?

the Congressman who was gerrymandered away from me: Lloyd Doggett. He truly represents Austin, not only with his stances, but anyone who lives here, whether in his district or not, can call his office & gets the same constituent service. He is just the best. I’ve known him since 1983 & can tell you that he is also a great person.
