When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest? I tend to do for what is cheapest, but I avoid Walmart like the plague.

What language do you wish you spoke? After 12 days in China, I wish I knew some Mandarin. Practically, I would like to improve my German and my Hawaiian. I have been studying Hawaiian on-line, but I don’t have a lot of opportunities to use it when I am not in Hawaii. I can read German, but I really can’t speak it. When I worked on an archaeological project in Germany in the early 90s, I could get by with shop German, but I have forgotten a lot of it.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza? Veggies.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all? Oh, yes. I have filled up a three-bedroom house.

What is the last thing that made you really laugh? An e-mail I received yesterday.

    cheap

What language do you wish you spoke?

I wish I remembered the French & German I used to be fluent in. (I lived in countries where the were the language, so I was really, truly fluent)

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza?

I had a pizza with kale on it last night, it was nummy. But most of the time, I’m a spinach & mushroom pizza person.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?

    seriously bad ones

What is the last thing that made you really laugh?

Star Trek, last night. Cheered, laughed, cried. Breathtaking.

Shopping:  I have brands I avoid more than brands I look for

Language:  I can understand some Spanish and German but am loath to speak either.

Pizza:  on my birthday I had a crispy pork pizza that was fantastic and I have been dreaming of it since.  I also like plain old pepperoni.

Pack rat:  nope.  I have “let’s get rid of it all” tendencies

Laugh:  my daughters ballet recital dress rehearsal.  3,4 and 5 year olds on a huge stage.  Pure joy.  Also my sons demonstration of what he looks like when he is cold.  So sweet.  And Conan.  I love Conan.

…go with favorite brands for other things. Depends upon the particular product. Some “off” brands just aren’t worth it. Some are.

I wish I was fluent in eight or nine languages. I especially wish I spoke Russian or Polish. I love the way they sound. And I wish my German and Italian were better. I haven’t given either one much study since college.

My favorite pizza of all time was topped with pastrami and sliced tomatoes. Yum. I’m always looking for a pizza joint that can reproduce that combo.

When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest? Cheap, cheap, cheap – except never, ever Walmart and a few other fair trade/local purchases that I care about. (Have I mentioned I hate to shop?)

What language do you wish you spoke? I’d love to fix up the German I learned-oh-so-many-years-ago-at-DLI-but-never-had-the-opportunity-to-use-after-I-was-stationed-in-South-Korea. Oh – and French.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza? Margarita Pizza, please.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all? Maybe a little – I hate to throw out things that I might use even after I haven’t used them for decades. Shit – am I a secret hoarder?

What is the last thing that made you really laugh?

Someone just asked Me, “Can I have a Ferrari and a huge cock?” No one’s got both, My friend.

Err, G’Afternoon.  I should probably wait until I’ve had my coffee to answer, since I just let the toaster run without it being plugged in (it’s a dial timer so the timer still counted down).

When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest?  Brand for some things, Cheap for others.  I try to go with Trader Joe’s as much as possible, since they promise their label uses no GMOs & they don’t use HFCS either.

What language do you wish you spoke? All of them!  But probably Polish, because my grandfather was polish & it would be nice to have that connection.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza?  The last pizza I had was topped with Baby Artichoke Hearts, Spinach, Roasted Garlic, and Bacon.  The only thing that could have made it better was Mushrooms.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?  Yes.

What is the last thing that made you really laugh?  I laughed yesterday at a video of a kitten & two lizards that my husband showed me.  The kitten was trying to stalk one of the lizards & the other one came up along side the kitten, who freaked out and jumped about a mile when she noticed.  😀

  7. What language do you wish you spoke?

I would love to speak Spanish and French. Then my hubby and I could confuse the crap out of everyone by switching languages in mid sentence.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza? Thin crispy crust with fresh mozarella (not that rubbery stuff), fresh tomato slices and pepperoni.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?

I used to. After having to move 5 times in one year. I’ll never be a pack-rat again.

What is the last thing that made you really laugh? My cat, Titanus Grumpicus Bunny Butt was laying on my chest when hubby annoyed him. He wound up hissing at me and it was a thing of beauty with fishy breath and spittle flying everywhere. I still giggle just thinking about it.

  8. I’m not particular about brand as much as quality. I’ll buy generic much of the time. I don’t have to avoid Wally World as we don’t have one anyway. 🙂

When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest?

I have it all sorted out as to brand, price, what’s on sale, max price I’ll pay, which store has it cheapest, to the point of Poverty-Related OCD, which should be a diagnosis.

What language do you wish you spoke?

Latin. No, Spanish for practical purposes, I guess.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza?

Sausage and mushroom please, and if you get spinach can I have a slice? Thanks.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?

I have specific tendencies in each direction, too much of some things, ruthlessly get rid of others.

When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest? I have some favorite stores but not afraid of sales or good bargains.

What language do you wish you spoke? Improve my Greek Grammar; learn Spanish & Italian.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza?  I like California Pizza Kitchen’s BBQ Chicken Pizza or a good Veggie Pizza.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?  Sadly yes. My main goal this spring/summer is to donate, give and not become a borderline hoarder.

What is the last thing that made you really laugh? Some really clever comment on the intertubes. Can’t remember it now. Senility is coming fast.

  11. When you go shopping, do you have brand loyalties, or do you buy whatever is cheapest?

I don’t shop enough to know

What language do you wish you spoke?

Any. All. Spanish would probably be most useful; Greek and Latin are classics. But I’d also like to learn some non-Indo European languages. Mandarin.

It’s National Pizza Party Day, what do you want on your pizza?

Anchovies and extra garlic and maybe olives and/or onions.

Do you have pack-rat tendencies at all?

    Only for books

What is the last thing that made you really laugh?

A friend of mine got a mother’s day card from her adult children:

“Our shrink says it’s not your fault”
