    But I’ll try to answer…

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain?

What would be the perfect picnic location?

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad?

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be?

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be?

Cherry cheesecake sounds good.  Vino.  Sammitches.  Fruit.

    A meadow in Yosemite.

I remember the New Coke, I tried it, it was not horrible, but not the same.  I was once a Coca Cola partisan, but when I switched to Diet, I went Pepsi.  Diet Coke is awful.

    Something about pot.

    Gun control.

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain?

a bunch of vegan food that someone else cooked

What would be the perfect picnic location?

    picnic tables by Barton Springs

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad? Yes. Yes. Yes (flat coke – blech)

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be? the part of the tax code that stops social security withdrawls from earnings over $100K. Everyone pays, on every dollar earned.

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be? be nice to each other!

  4. slksfca

…when my favorite things for a picnic would have been pâté, gherkins, crusty bread and a bottle or two of good champagne.

Nowadays I’d settle for a nice potato salad. 🙂

  5. It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain? good cheese, wine, strawberries with dipping chocolate, ham sandwiches, and a good potato or pasta salad.

What would be the perfect picnic location? On a cliff overlooking the ocean

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad? it was boring

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be? At this point the 2nd Amendment needs to be rewritten to make it clearer

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be? Any Congressman or Supreme Court Justice who votes in favor of a company that has contributed heavily to them must prove they were not influenced by said company or they lose their job.

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain? Green salad with lots of vegetables, hummous and more raw veggies for dipping, berries and sparkling, natural mineral water

What would be the perfect picnic location? Fire Island

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad?  That all happened when I was living out of the country.

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be? Patriot Act

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be? Amend the constitution so corporations are clearly NOT people

  7. Floja Roja

My picnic would be in Hollywood Forever Cemetary on the bench across from Doug Fairbanks’ memorial. Right where that squirrel tried to kill me and my friends last time. My picnic basket would have sandwiches on baguette with roasted peppers, basil, and olive dressing, a light pasta salad, some brie, some nice crackers to serve the brie on, and a lovely bottle of Zin. For dessert, strawberries from Ojai.

If I ever tried the new coke, I don’t recall. I remember someone sued Coke, but lost when they couldn’t tell the difference between old and new in a blind taste test.

I’d repeal the pot law, I think. Or ban the death penalty.

My new law would be Single Payer. I think minimum wage is good, too, but Single Payer would also aid those who aren’t making any wage.

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain?

    * a bottle of foxen syrah, some stilton cheese, and pita crackers.  maybe some strawberries.

What would be the perfect picnic location?

    * top of the razorback ridge, off the alum bluff trail, in the smokies… mid to late october.

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad?

    * yeah3

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be?

    * not sure if this is a law or just supreme court opinion, but I’d get rid of “Corporations are people too my friends.”

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be?

    * A really fair progressive tax code.

from the bubbapod.. groove armada with Richie Havens.  Heard this song in the cheesy Jamie Foxx/Tom Cruise movie collateral and subsequently bought the groove armada cd.  what a consumer.

And me without my jacket.  I don’t have to go out much though.

    Q&A:

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain?  Cheeses, Sweet Peppers/Sweet Pickles, Fruit (Strawberries, Blueberries, Peaches), raw almonds/cashews

What would be the perfect picnic location?  Somewhere without a lot of noise, and preferably with a bench so I don’t kill my knees.

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad? I vaguely remember it, never tried it; I generally don’t like Colas of any brand, although the Throwback Pepsi is tolerable.

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be?  Oh geez, just one?  Get rid of the Hyde Amendment, Kill DOMA, Kill Obamacare (don’t shoot me, read the next answer too!), kill the drug prohibitions, get rid of the Electoral College, and Kill Citizens United.

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be?  Single Payer HealthCare (ie Medicare for everyone); Full Non-Discrimination laws that cover the entire LGBTQIA spectrum; Tax “capital gains” as regular earnings, enforce the Sherman Anti-Trust act; put Glass-Steagle back into place, enact proportional representation (or instant run-off voting); all voting must be done on paper ballots with paper trails and not private voting machines owned by a company; Ban Assault Weapons & High Capacity magazines; remove military bases from all foreign sites where we are not actively engaged in combat; free education from Pre-K through Doctorates in exchange for some period of time in public service (either national guard, volunteering, etc.).

I think that’s enough to start with.  😉

  10. mikidee

Hmmmm – methinks that battle has been lost ….

It’s National Picnic Day. What would your ideal picnic basket contain? Stinky cheese, crusty bread, tomato jam, some pickled okra, maybe some figs, and a big chewy red.

What would be the perfect picnic location? In a meadow, on a blanket, in the sunshine.

Do you remember the New Coke? Did you try it? Was it bad? Nope.

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be? The one that makes student loans non-dischargeable in bankruptcy.

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be? Universal Healthcare.

  11. raina

    confuzzled….

Ideal picnic basket? Cold fried chicken, potato salad, and iced tea.

Perfect location? on the beach or by the lake or river. Swimming is a must. Mosquitoes can stay away, thank you very much.

Yes, I remember New Coke and it was not as good as the old Coke. Even when they switched back, it didn’t taste the same.

If you could kill any one Federal law, which one would it be?

If you could create one Federal law, what would it be? That requires thinking, and I’m too lazy to think. LOL.
