  1. Did you ever star in a school play?

I AM OZ THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE!

(or, at least, I was Oz in a school play. Mostly because I had the loudest voice)

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose?

    BWAHAHAHAHA  …. that’s a no.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say?

WARNING: Opinions expressed may not be your own.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days?

    Oh geeze. I dunno.

Mushrooms – Sauteed, raw, or not at all?

    Both!

  2. Floja Roja

Did you ever star in a school play?  Hell, no, I was terrified of getting up in front of people and talking. But I did write, cast, and direct an adaptation of Charlie Brown’s Christmas in the 6th grade!

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose? The farthest I ever went in fandom was pics from magazines taped to my walls. I never was a joiner.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say?  Must be fed and watered regularly. Do not wash in cold water.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days? Not enough time.

Mushrooms – Sauteed, raw, or not at all? Sauteed (or maybe grilled and brushed with garlic and olive oil).

  3. Did you ever star in a school play? Majored in theater so yes.

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose? A couple of science fiction fan clubs when I was younger

If you came with a warning label, what would it say? Don’t piss off or may explode on you.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days? trying to get the house sold. All my savings went into getting it ready to go and I have zero cushion left in case of an emergency

Mushrooms – Sauteed, raw, or not at all? Every way possible. I do soups, side dishes, put them in stir frys, put them in salads.

  4. Twitter does its best work in the first five minutes after a disaster, and its worst in the twelve hours after that.

It got out the news that something newsworthy had happened. And then it descending into rumors, half-truths and pre-blaming.

I played the title role in the musical Oliver! in junior high (and won the school’s arts award at the big Spring Awards Assembly). I still have a reel-to-reel tape someone made of the entire show, but not having a player haven’t listened to it in over 40 years. Nowadays the whole thing would probably be on YouTube.

The timing was good because that very summer, a month or so after the show closed, my sweet treble voice broke. 🙂

Oh, and mushrooms raw, in salad. I don’t like their texture when cooked.

  6. DeniseVelez

Did you ever star in a school play? No. Never had a desire to act, but enjoyed working on set design.

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose?
No. Have been a fan (meaning I attended as many performances as I could of a few artists) but a fan club ain’t my schtick

School play:  no way, I do not enjoy being onstage.  I married a theater geek though.

Fan club:  in the 80s I think I joined a Duran Duran club.  I was a Simon girl.

Warning:  do not speak to her for the first hour she is awake.

Stress:  moving truck comes next Monday, that is pretty stressful

Mushrooms:  like the flavor, the texture really bothers me

  9. pittiepat

Did you ever star in a school play? Nope

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose? Not a joiner, just enjoyed listening or watching whomever was my fav of the moment.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say? Unfortunately, I’ve become more like the Grumpy Cat in human form.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. Sadly, it is Keke, the recently adopted cat who turned out to be pretty feral so she and I are not doing very well together.  I’ve been working with her, but no progress yet.

Mushrooms – Any way but especially sauteed, with butter and lots of garlic.

  10. Did you ever star in a school play?

No. I mostly did theatre tech, especially sets and lighting. (Love the big shop machines!!)

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose?

No. I “liked” Dave Holland and Robin Eubanks on Facebook, but I don’t think that’s the same thing.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say?

I’m not very scary. But I’ve always like the opening from the Incredible Hulk:

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days?

    Truthfully? Feeling quite disconnected.

Mushrooms – Sauteed, raw, or not at all?

I eat mushrooms however they’re available.

  11. raina

I’ve been in a number of them, and not by choice. One of my first roles was playing one of the Doggy in the Window dogs.

I’ll take mushrooms any way, but they’re especially good sauteed or stuffed.

Warning label: Don’t test my patience. I haz none.

  12. bubbanomics

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose? Ah, no ….

If you came with a warning label, what would it say? Do Not Removed Skin-Tags Under Penalty of Law.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days? $$$$$$$ – and my little rescue Demon Dog. But we’re working on it ….

Mushrooms – Sauteed, raw, or not at all? Yuuuuuuuuuuuuum.

  14. zenor

Been youtubing a bunch. Libby Holman, Body & Soul, Am I Blue, something else can’t remember. Funny, swear it’s Sol Hoopii playing Hawaiian guitar accompaniment on a couple sides. Don’t know anyone else sounds like that. The Okeh record with just piano (heavenly emotional) backing Sophie Tucker’s masterpiece rendition of There’ll Be Some Changes Made is back!

I got thru Elia Kazan’s film America, America – since I couldn’t sleep.

Teddy Wilson piano with Billie Holiday on I’ll Never Be The Same, and with Goodman, Hampton & Krupa for 1937 cut of China Boy.

Gotta get a keyboard into this dive and some recording device or I’ll go mad. Halfway there anyway.

Old songs had introductions mostly now forgotten, and they were poetic and pleasingly theatrical. Just as drawn to them as always..

  15. Avilyn

Did you ever star in a school play? Yes, in 8th Grade.  I played Mary in a school play about transforming gifts.  Don’t recall the actual name of it though.

Have you ever joined a fan club, and if so, whose? Yes; Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s, because they give you access to pre-sale tickets.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say? Instant Human, Just Add Coffee.

It’s National Stress Awareness Day. What is your biggest stressor these days?  Work, I guess.

Mushrooms – Yes please, may I have some more?
