Oh hai!

I have overuse and tension in both shoulders and across upperback.  After a knock-down drag-out tension headache over the weekend, I have iced, stretched, and started some very specific exercises with weights.

I did bead for two very slow hours Tuesday.  And I am teaching knitting tomorrow night to a beginner.

We are going to learn to read patterns and I am going to start her on a dishcloth I think.  Then after this a hat.  Then I think she’s on her own.

Which is good, because my son is going to play baseball for 12 weeks and my after-school to evening schedule is going crazier than it already was.  So I did work on my calender and a lot of emails to the other parent.

I don’t have pictures of anything at all.  This is very sad, but the last diary is more than 10 days old.

a bunch of little tiny owls for part if a baby shower gift for a friend.  They are adorable.  My kids live them too so I will have to make a few more.  Will post to ravelry if you want to see them.

  3. I made a beautiful wedding quilt, 77″ square, for a friend from another community. I started it on 2/5 and mailed it on 2/23, I think. I wanted to be fast, but was not fast enough. Long sad story…

And then I made a strip quilt.. ugh. Sorry, that’s another sad story.

And when I quilted it, the bottom tension stunk on the first half, though I fixed it on the second half.

But I have a comfort quilt I’m making for … okay, well. At any rate, I wanted to make sure the tension was good before I started quilting the comfort quilt. So I made a small medallion quilt using a block I already had. It’s about 36″ square. I made it in about 3 days, including the quilting.

And then because that was so fun, I started another medallion quilt using some corner blocks I’d built for the wedding quilt but didn’t use. So far I only have 21″, but I might make it big enough to use on our king-sized bed. We’ll see. I’m making one decision at a time as I add borders, and I’ve already surprised myself a couple of times with colors I’ve chosen.
