Since 2008 – Progress Through Politics

Nurse Kelley Sez: Moondai Furbutts by Triciawyse

NOTE: I’m posting this for triciawyse, who has ‘puter problems. If I weren’t so lazy I would remove the rules that aren’t necessary here because we’re all wonderful, but I AM lazy. Please just ignore them and enjoy teh critters!

Those of you who already either know me or know of me know that I am a massive pootie person. We  moved into an apartment and now have a pootie, named Princess Ashley; however I grew up with both cats & dogs and I love both. I do not discriminate against any animal & love animal photos of all kinds. Please enjoy the following and add any photos that you think the community would like to see. Now, enjoy the photos & have some fun.

AS TO THE TERM WOOZLE – ONE OF OUR BELOVED KOSSACKS, Pandoras Box, STARTED CALLING HER DOGS WOOZLES AS A TERM OF ENDEARMENT AND THE TERM STUCK, JUST AS WITH POOTIES AND PHILLYGAL. PHILLYGAL HAD A CAT NAMED POOTIE AND THE TERM STUCK!

Of course, the usual rules apply:

1. Be nice to each other

2. No trolling the diary

3. If you hate pootie diaries, leave now.

4. Share any and all pootie/woozle photos or issues that you would like to. When it comes to problems, we may just have someone with experience who can help.

5. Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. DO NOT SHIT-STIR IN HERE! Shit stirring will be dealt with the same way we deal with trolls.

6. Also, there is no such thing as stealing a photo around here, all are offered with love and may be borrowed with just as much love.

I would like to thank the ICHC website for the majority of these photos.

I’m not a regular visitor, but enjoy them when I think of opening one. I have a basement cat called Mimi (Miriam). 15, and full of life still. Luckily.

…I stood in line behind a big burly guy with a grubby, canvas military surplus-type bag hanging off his shoulder. Imagine my surprise when a wee chihuahua head popped out of the shoulder bag and glared at me. This guy was about as far from Paris Hilton or that Legally Blonde chick as someone could be, yet he shared the same exact accessory as those ladies. 😉

  3. Here are my two furbabies. Tito is the dark one. Miss Nightshade Jenny is the lighter one.

Since someone requested woozles, I thought I would share. I used these elsewhere, but I love them. Hubby and I met these two one day at Baker Beach in San Francisco. 🙂

This woozle had the most magnificent tail…

With luck, I did this the correct way.

So sorry. We had a woozle emergency that turned into a gargantuan affair this weekend. My buddies ate some poisonous mushrooms. Lucky for them, it works like food poisoning — unlike some of us, where you’re already dead or need a new liver by the time you figure out the mistake.

Anyway, since it was the weekend, we had to go to puppy ER. The vet was horribly incompetent (I’ll post the story once it’s done playing out) and made the ordeal much worse than it needed to be.

For all who don’t know me, we recently adopted two puppies with megaesophagus. My biggest problem is that most vets don’t know anything about the condition, and only consult vet wikis that say horrible things. This vet told me that I had to put my puppies down because I could never manage them (this, when she’d never met one, and the other was jumping up and down trying to play with us.) Anyway, I’ll tell you the story when I get some distance. She gave us counterindicated meds and she never saw past the mega-e long enough to make a correct diagnosis. And she charged us $1000. Good thing we didn’t bring in both puppies.

Anyway, the puppies are fine now. They both cured themselves, once they got enough stuff out of both ends.

Thankfully, our vet group is competent.

    Pictures next weekend.
