    It was WONDERFUL…on the beach, in the Gulf swimming.  Came back, worked for three days, got sick and am now recovering (just a miserable sinus cold).

    On Tuesday, Michelle Obama was here in conservative, right wing, home of Dobson and many right wing religious kooks, and yet, she packed our city auditorium with 1000 people having to be outside hearing her (luckily our weather has been more like August than October).  I was lucky I got in early, and was up close and personal and got to shake hands with Michelle.  While I came to the Obama team later (I was a diehard Hillary fan and supporter and a woman who had to deal with the fact that I probably will never see a woman as president in my lifetime) I am fully supporting him for president. I never thought he was a bad choice….just that Hillary was my preference.

    Anyway, Michelle was great. Intelligent, articulate, interesting and not afraid to wear flats (a woman after my own heart).  She is taller than I thought.   I am glad I got to be a part of this history.

    But then the next morning, most of the Obama signs on the lawns on our block were stolen.  Man that ticks me off.

    I got more and will make sure all my neighbors whose were stolen get them too.

    And I still have angry, resentful feelings toward Matthews.  His misogyny toward Hillary, and his personal nastiness toward Hillary, acting like an obnoxious adolescent with Hot tub Tom Delay trashing Hillary was unforgiveable.  As well his drooling over W, McCain and all the other wingnuts turned me off.  I understand he is supporting Obama now but it does not, for me, undo his hateful behavior toward Hillary as well as Al Gore back in 1999.  The pundits like Matthews helped put W in office and imo, they have blood on their hands.

    So that’s it…
