What’s your favorite Mother Goose rhyme?

    I don’t have one

If you’ve ever really liked a TV commercial, which one(s)?

There was one for Breyer’s Ice Cream. Two kids on screen, each with a box of ice cream, one Breyer’s. Voice over “we told Sally and Billy they could have a bowl of ice cream, just as soon as they read the ingredients”.  The kid with the Breyer’s says “Milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla” and starts eating. The other kid struggles with all sorts of chemical names.

    Describe the perfect sandwich.

A nice Italian hero. Salami, provolone, lots of other meats, oil, vinegar, hot peppers, lettuce, perhaps some onion.

    What scarier, spiders or snakes?

Depends on the spider and the snake, but in general, I’d go with snakes. They move faster. But is this say “Milk snake vs. tarantula”?

I found a bunch of Bix Beiderbecke sides on youtube and I’ve been trying to hear him for 50 yrs, never did b4, and he is great!

From Iowa. Started on piano, sortofa prodigy and then later got crazed for Jass and selfed him taught to coronet, finally really learning to read music when he signed on with Paul Whiteman, and drank himself fruck to death young. With his uncitified roots and church harmony and piano practised background, he sounds fresh. The collaborations with Frank Trumbauer are swell and have speed up slow down excitements and innovation. Davenport, Riverboat Shuffle, Jazz Ball and other cuts fine work. Even better than the Libby Holman torch singin stuff I found last week. Sorry caint link.

    Older Americans Month   🙁

    Mother Goose?  Dunno.

There was a commercial for some shoe brand that was trying to show they were really comfy.  It took place in some tiny rural town.  The father tells his son, “Son, it’s time you went to the big city and made something of yourself.”  The son says, “But pa, I’d have to wear shoes, and they’re uncomfortable.  My dawgs cain’t breathe.”  The father gets him the advertised shoes, and we see the son ready to set off to make his fortune:  “My dawgs can breathe!  I can wear shoes!  I can be somebody!!!!!”

Turkey and swiss, made by Lulu.  She just knows how to make a sandwich.  If I can’t get that, the French have a melted cheese and ham thing called a croque monsieur.

Depends on the size of the spider.  Little spiders are kind of cute, but the big ones creep me out.

  5. Gee

In 2003, President George W. Bush landed on an aircraft carrier that was decorated with a “Mission Accomplished” banner and declared major combat in Iraq over. exciting the hell out of Chris Matthews.

And prompting Keith Olbermann to start counting up.

  6. What’s your favorite Mother Goose rhyme?

I couldn’t pick one. I love nursery rhymes, fairy tales and folk stories.

If you’ve ever really liked a TV commercial, which one(s)?

I don’t pay much attention and don’t remember them. I’m not a good target for advertising, in general.

    Describe the perfect sandwich.

Always perfect? Grilled cheese made with cheddar, crisped bread, still warm and melty.

    What scarier, spiders or snakes?

    Spiders. Snakes are rather fascinating.

  7. Floja Roja

National Bike Month – I wish. I’m a wuss riding up hills, and it’s mostly hills here. I can walk hills just fine, it’s a whole different set of muscles.

National Blood Pressure Month – I do have to be aware of that. I would be sad to have to give up coffee or salt.

National Brain Tumor Awareness Month – My mom had one, but it was one of those that started as lung cancer and moved upstairs.

National Chocolate Custard Month – Never had one, but I am not against it.

National Egg Month – yes, with the yolk runny and the white cooked all the way.

National Gazpacho Aficionado Month – it tastes good but I can’t do cold soups.

National Hamburger Month – I could go for that, with cheese please

National Mediterranean Diet Month – This does not fit with the hamburgers, but I love the food

National Photograph Month – I don’t take ’em, but I steal them from the internets daily and insert little mouseover comments

National Recommitment Month – I haven’t been committed yet

National Salad Month – OK, half a burger and a small salad? Can I have creamy dressing? Oh, that’s not very Mediterranean.

National Salsa Month – hold the cilantro

National Strawberry Month – Yes, Oxnard Seascape strawberries from Harry’s Berries

Older Americans Month – I guess I am one now. Or maybe not, if we go by the average age. I don’t have a lawn…

    South Asian Heritage Month

    And salsa, too!

p.s. The brew ISN’T true since the vessel has no pestle. I do see a lid in Milady’s other hand, but that doesn’t count.

but night poems were used to seduce.

Describe the perfect sandwich. Grilled gouda with sliced asian pear on rye (maybe a little stone-ground mustard) – with chips (no fries) and a pickle spear.

What scarier, spiders or snakes? Frostbite Falls isn’t home to scary spiders or (realistically) scary snakes. But I would hate to live in a place where deadly snakes could fall out of trees and kill me so I guess my answer is snakes.

Either a grilled cheese sandwich (white american cheese only) cooked to a nice golden brown (not burnt), or an Eddie’s Cheesesteak with Mushrooms, Fried Onions, and Sweet Peppers.
