getting gradually warmer (above freezing) during the day, with a general warming trend toward the weekend. We don’t have – or I have never seen – a website that tells you the real-time temp at your exact location, which is why I can’t state more precise figures.

Did a nice meditation this morning from this website:

    Talk Shoe

I’ve been a student of Sufism for many years, and our meditations can be enriching and powerful, when done right. It usually takes some practice, as with everything.

wind is howling on the lakefront, shaking the

windows something fierce here on the 3rd floor.

35 and getting colder with a chance of snow.

my last off day off and happy i’m not out in

    the cold today.

have to go take a nap, i’ve been up all night.

hope everyone has a great day!

  3. Wind advisory until 3pm:

    * WINDS… WEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH… WITH WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH.

Temperature is supposed to stay around 32 degrees: nicely freezing the rain and melting snow we had yesterday when temperatures got into the upper 30s low 40s. The pooled water along the rural highways made for treacherous driving yesterday.

I can hear the wind howling and I am glad that I do not have to go anywhere until late morning.

We should watch your FMF poll closely! Will people be able to claim that they reflexively FAILed domestic felines because the poll was in the wrong order? 😉

I will try to add a newswire summary around noon RPT if my schedule allows.

Heading up to our land shortly. Materials were delivered over the weekend, and the building gets built today. Taking Kidlet with me today – figure it will be a good educational experience, since she’s currently building a shed in Carpentry class. Yes, I am taking my camera with me.

    then freezing rain – wtf?

Off to school in a bit – had a house full of company, and 2 are staying till Wednesday – which is nice.

Only problem – one is allergic to cats

should go back to bed.  Daffodils are primed and ready to open up, just a little too early.  Maybe a few more weeks.

Hope y’all have a great day!

Good thing I don’t have to go anywhere to get to work.

Please keep the ‘give nchristine the job’ vibes going – I need all the help I can get and spread the anxiety out.  Anxiety…. OMG!!!!  I need the chocolate factory in the back yard.

Hope it rains all day.  Last year we had a drought, which killed our attempts to grow vegetables.  We did use water from the rain barrels, but that took a lot of time and effort.

I hope the groundhog was right!

    Have a good day, everyone.

St Charles is gonna blow away today.  Bent our admittedly cheap flag pole in half overnight.  But the crusty snow is melting so that is good.  Up around 35 today with 30 to 40 mph winds all day.  I’m not going anywhere if I can help it.  Making a from scratch chicken pot pie for dinner.  Yum.

to Home Depot to return the faucet that my friend said was too cheap to install. I found the receipt, from last October. Have I really been without a kitchen faucet for six months, turning on the water using a short metal rod to pull forward the tab that used to hold the handle?

And has this really been because I couldn’t find $50.00 to pay my local handyman to install it?

And have I really been without a garbage disposal for that long as well because there’s a fork stuck in it that can’t be removed?

Yes to all of the above. I’ve bought a better faucet (credit card screeched with the strain) and will have it installed soon. TTYL.

here in the high desert. Mr w will be installing another window today. The local weather guy on tv said to expect thunderstorms tonight after midnight so mr w wants to take advantage of this nice day. Looks like the next opportunity to open up the walls won’t come until thursday.

The pooties haz a sad because there’s no sun, but I reminded them we need the snow so we don’t have to flee a forest fire in the spring. As for me, I’m a lazy retired person who enjoys being snowed in. 🙂

No rain here yet, but overcast with gusty winds. If 60 is the new 40, maybe April is the new February?

…for x-rays, an EKG and some blood work. Seems they need updated, recent test results before they cut into me.

It’s going to be a long day, but I know it’s necessary.

At the market I spent almost double the usual because I had to buy Kitty Cosequin and a big bag of tablespoon-a-day-for-each-kitty high-quality dry cat food.

Then I returned the faucet and got the money refunded to my bank account instantly, enough to cover the groceries and more.

    Happy I am.
