The Daily F Bomb – Thursday, 1/10

Good morning, Bombers. Yesterday my news feed was all about the Baseball Hall of Fame (abbreviated HOF on Twitter, which to me means “Hair on Fire,” but that’s another controversy) and OMG, Obama doesn’t believe in diversity! (The two female Supreme Court Justices don’t count.)

Today’s REALLY IMPORTANT controversies are: Was the 1970s “disco sucks” movement racist? Coffee: dark roast or medium roast? African, Central/South American, Indonesian, Jamaican? Tapioca: Yummy or intrinsically creepy? Cats: Long hair or short hair? Wine: White or red? Homeowners’ Associations: Evil or just Nasty?

Was the 1970s “disco sucks” movement racist? I don’t know but it sucked.

Coffee: dark roast or medium roast? Dark

African, Central/South American, Indonesian, Jamaican?  Yes

Tapioca: Yummy or intrinsically creepy? Yummy, if you can get past the creepy.

Cats: Long hair or short hair? Hair everywhere!

Wine: White or red? Red, natch

Homeowners’ Associations: Evil or just Nasty? Yes

This time of year in the PNW is hard for me….dark mornings, early sunsets, lots of rain…..but no snow, for which I am very grateful!

My answers, copied over from orange, so my aplogies for boring some of you twice….

1970’s disco…don’t know. The 1970’s were my musical “lost  years”, as 4 little kids, 3.5 yrs apart were a whole different focus.

coffee……with lots of milk please. Coffee purists never approve….my sister brings her own.

    tapioca……I think I like it

cats…they like me, but I’m to allergic to pet them, sometimes I do anyway and suffer the consequences.

wine…..I miss enjoying a glass of wine!

homeowners association…..I am it, and sometimes I’m both

    rape advice…..so sadly true

    Thanks Floja!

    you are La Bomb.

Anyhoo, love tapioca. Last time I made it, it had a bit of an eggy flavor. I make custards all the time for ice cream and Creme Anglaise, no prob. Not sure why that is.

I guess I like textured foods. When I watch cooking shows, they often puree soups to make it creamy. Doesn’t really appeal to me. I like chunks in my soup.

I changed my MM password to one I could more easily remember, but I misspelled a key word, and now I can’t remember the misspelling ….Ha! Took me several tries to sign in today. I love my little netbook because it’s quick and simple to use but I have to keep the cache cleaned out or it creaks along.

Guess I’d best fix the password….

If you click on the photo of the White House in the MM banner, a link takes you to whitehouse.gov. Love that!

Question: when I hotlist diaries here, where do they go? How do I retrieve them?
