The Daily F Bomb – Wednesday 1/9

Happy hump day, F Troopers!  The weather report warns of lightning storms and flash flooding on the GOS (flooding undoubtedly caused by tears of impotent rage). It is recommended that you stay inside where it is safe and warm, and we argue about more important things, like…

Do you pronounce the ‘t’ in often? (Do you pronounce the ‘t’ in soften?) Utilize instead of use: a bad or good thing? Yes, you can utilize that room as an office, but when you have been treated badly by your date, do you feel utilized? Would you buy a utilized car? Where do we draw the line? Who is worse, Nickelback or Creed? If you like one or the other, are you willing to admit it? Does the imminent return of high waisted pants delight or terrify you? What is your favorite decade (or era) for movies?

fav decade for movies I have to say 70s. I grew up and came of age in that decade.

“new” bands. They are not that new, but newish to me. Don’t hold this video against them, if I saw the video before I heard their music I am not sure I would have explored them any further. 😉

How they described their music, from wikipedia, “Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel”. Ha! I think it is more pop/electronic/indie rockish, but who am I?

  5. Starred Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier had Jimmy JJ Walker in it as a prize fighter.  That was the first movie I can remember going to and rolling in the aisles even at the tender age I was when it came out : )

  6. Its the Supreme Court Stupid

the original French version of La Cage aux Foulles (sp?).  People were literally rolling in the aisles the first time I saw that.

The “serpentine!” scene made me laugh so hard I gave myself an asthma attack.  I haven’t re-watched it because I don’t want to not find that scene as funny, and I so love the memory of how happy that scene made me.

And hey, if all of you want to call me c-words, please feel free. 😛

Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin doing crazy-good physical comedy.

Jim Carrey is a hit around here, too, for the physical comedy. I find his stuff to be hit and miss, but I get the appeal.

But All of Me – man, that’s just genius.
