This was going to be a comment but the pictures were big.
I didn’t want to resize them and to avoid controversy I wrote my own diary!

For those who know (or don’t) he was very protective of his strip.
Watterson battled against pressure from publishers to merchandise his work, something he felt would cheapen his comic.[12] He refused to merchandise his creations on the grounds that displaying Calvin and Hobbes images on commercially sold mugs, stickers, and T-shirts would devalue the characters and their personalities.[13]
Calvin and Hobbes has been one of the biggest influences in my life. I was in the 3rd grade when I first read the strip. For a brief moment there I was Calvin’s age. So I could join him on those adventures and create my own. I learned a lot and it helped shape my opinions at a very young age.
While I may be violating the same principle by posting these pics I’ll delete them later. But I just think that he would not approve. Heh. So even if it seems like a minor thing it means a lot to me.
