He may be overstating the governor’s IQ by a factor of 10.

Social Security Act??!!?? But I thought that President Obama and Congressional Democrats killed Social Security in 2011 … it must be true, I saw it on the Internets. 🙂

He should keep trying sad doggie eyes … sometimes they take a while to kick in but they always work.

Have you seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show? If so, how many times? Did you participate in the audience antics?

Too many times to even think of counting. I could come really close to just reciting it off the top of my head. And of course I participated in the antics.

and thanks for the new earworm – Timewarp just bumped Lips Like Sugar out of my brain.

What is the longest blackout you’ve ever had to endure? How did you handle it?

When I was a kid – 5th-6th grade – we lived in Sharjah & Dubai (United Arab Emirates). They were upgrading the electrical grid, building a new power station, etc, but we had frequent power outages. We kept candles by the kitchen sink due to the regularity of it going out while we were doing the dinner dishes. As long as you keep the fridge closed, the food is of for a day or so.

How many different kinds of batteries do you use? What for? double-A & triple-A, for clocks (see above re life experience with power outages) and remote controls

Are you careful with receipts, or do you generally just pay without looking?

    pay without looking

Do you have duct tape? What colors? What have you used it for?

just silver, not really a lot

I’ve seen Rocky Horror a couple of times, but only on video, never at a midnight show.

Just a power outage?  Maybe a week after a big storm.  I hate ’em.  I just fret.  Lulu’s the problem-solver.

I mostly just use AAs, for my magical mouse and keyboard.  I think the TV remotes might have AAAs, but I’m not sure.  Cs or Ds for flashlights.  Used to have the little 9 volts for smoke detectors, but now they’ve got some kind of 10-year battery in them.

    Not too careful.

I have silver duct tape, which I have actually used on furnace ductwork!  I don’t use it much.

Have you seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show? If so, how many times? Yup. I have noooo clue. LOTS. I have seen it multiple States (heh…both definitions of the word) and over 25yrs.

Did you participate in the audience antics? But of course!

What is the longest blackout you’ve ever had to endure? How did you handle it? 2-3 weeks after Hurricane Hugo. Grilled out. Stood on line for ice and water. Swam a lot. It was miserable.

How many different kinds of batteries do you use? What for? I’ve no clue how many different sorts…but I use them for whatever needs batteries!

Are you careful with receipts, or do you generally just pay without looking? Yes to both. I very often pay without looking…however, I also very carefully keep my receipts.

Do you have duct tape? What colors? What have you used it for? Oh yah, loads of it. Silver, Orange and Black, Red, and Florescent Green are available here. I use it for all sorts of things. The oddest things, though, are probably to ‘waterproof’ a pair of jeans (don’t ask) and to tape shut a cut I got on a fishing trip. I keep some wound around a pencil in each of our cars (takes up less space that way)…it is handy stuff.
