    1. Yes, I believe he will. I hope he stays in his shell.

    2. Very patient. But liars really trip my trigger.

    3. I can do without it for days. It’s like a soap opera. You can pick it up anytime if you leave.

    4. Most of my teachers were role models for me. That must be why I became one.

The latest conspiracy I heard last night was that the OK tornado was done by the guvment with their new tornado weather machine. The spraying aircraft before it was part of the evidence. What if it is true?

God almighty! Do something this. I’m sick of how we are.

Well, I need to go to work. I wish you all a great day. It is Thursday. Lucky Penny Day.

How do you think Mitch McConnell will celebrate World Turtle Day?

How patient are you?  Not very. What makes you lose patience?  Being asked about my patience.

How long can you go without going on the internet? Isn’t that kind of personal, like asking how long one can go as “Master of Your Domain”?

Who was your major role model? My father — and Bill Douglas.

McConnell:  he should take a nice long walk off a short bridge

Patience:  not a virtue I possess.  I lose my patience when people are willfully ignorant, when people don’t listen and when I can’t get the right words out.

    Internet:  couple hours.

Role model:  my parents, they rock

How do you think Mitch McConnell will celebrate World Turtle Day? I like ITSCS’s answer

How patient are you? What makes you lose patience? Impatient enough that I probably shouldn’t work in the job I have. People who don’t listen. Example: They ask me to do something. I say “one moment please” They keep talking. Everyone does this. Why????? Do they want me to to the thing they asked, or to listen to them? I’ve taken to just taking my headset after I ask for a moment. Simpler for everyone.

How long can you go without going on the internet? While I’m asleep.

  5. How do you think Mitch McConnell will celebrate World Turtle Day?

He will continue his slow march to the end of his life, never having accomplished much except getting in other people’s way.

How patient are you? What makes you lose patience?

I’m with Jim — people who lie make me impatient. People who are hypocrites of any stripe, people who are bullies…

How long can you go without going on the internet?

    Days.

Who was your major role model?

Uh, my husband and my children. They all teach me how to be a better person.

With his family, and his friends, the Slowskys.  No truth to the rumor they’re having turtle soup.

Not patient at all.  If any little thing goes wrong in the journey from a to b, I get frustrated.

I don’t know.  The internet is such a great place to fend off boredom, but I think I could stay off indefinitely if there were other interesting things going on.

I have a sort of retrospective role model.  I didn’t know she was a role model until years later.  She was the mom of a friend of mine, the only woman in the neighborhood who was not an utter conformist, nodding her head in agreement with all the conventional wisdom.

Impatience is one of my worst traits. Having to wait, wait, wait makes me lose patience. F2F miscommunication can make me lose it, especially if the other party isn’t making an effort.

My dad loved to remind me of the time I went to city hall to complain about my water bill. It was in the 80’s, mind, and my water bill was about $100, way over the normal $30 I always got (which included garbage pick-up btw). I wrote down a note explaining that I do not water my lawns, don’t have a pool, no leaky faucets or toilets, etc, and there was no way I used that much water. Well, the clerk barely glanced at it, wouldn’t even read, and shrugged as if to say too bad. I got so pissed and shouted, “Fuck you.”

That got the attention of the manager and she discussed it with me, unlike that asshole clerk. The best she could do was cut my payment in half. Still too much, but it was something.

Have a meeting at noon, so posting first & hoping to read/catch up later.

    Q&A:

How do you think Mitch McConnell will celebrate World Turtle Day?  By filibustering something.  Oh wait, he does that every day anyway.

How patient are you? What makes you lose patience?  It really really depends.  I can be super patient when I’m tutoring someone or teaching them something.  I lose patience when something is making me late.  A lot of times my mood has a lot to do with it; if I was already relaxed, I’m patient.  If I was irritated at something, then I’m more likely to be impatient.  Stupidity definitely makes me lose my patience.

How long can you go without going on the internet?  I went 18 years once.  Of course, I’d never heard of the internet back then 😉  These days?  Um.  Well, I typically sleep for 6-7 hours a night.  Does checking email on my phone count?  I’m pretty sure that doesn’t count, right?

Who was your major role model?  My parents & my grandparents.

Good morning…..a lazy rainy day in Oregon. We may drive home tomorrow or we may do some laundry and stay another day.

And Lambchop makes the hovers! Wow, how old are we to remember Shari Lewis?

So many of the paintings from the “Louis Le Nain, French Baroque painter” era show family members quite morose while patriarchs are yukking it up. Who would buy such strange things masterpieces?
