Interrogatories

It’s Tax Day!

Did you get your taxes done in time? Do you do your own or have someone do them for you?

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery?

Do you have a green thumb?

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

Did you get your taxes done in time? Mailed them last week

Do you do your own or have someone do them for you? Do them with Turbo Tax

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery? carry on. Pixie can’t feed herself or clean her litterbox. Well she probably could she is smart enough but that is my job.

Do you have a green thumb? No. I kill all green things with kindness because I really don’t know how to grow anything.

Are you an introvert or extrovert? extrovert

Taxes:  we got our return a month and a half ago.

Flu:  I carry on because I have to.  When I worked full time, there was no calling in.  I had appointments set and though the staff called in sick, the docs were not allowed to be sick.  Now I have two small children.  Moms are not allowed to be sick.  Just once I want to lay in bed and rest when I am sick.  Sorry.  Rant off.

Green thumb:  yes, but the secret is awesome compost

Introvert or extrovert:  I am more of an introvert but I am not shy.  At parties I can be quite fun, but I don’t want to go to a party more than twice a year.

Taxes were done sometime in March.  Already got our Maryland refund.

I use TurboTax, which is an easy way of doing them myself.

I’ve had some nasty flu that took that choice away from me.  But even when it’s not that bad, I stay home.

I don’t garden enough to know.  I have planted some things that managed to grow.

Transformed from introvert to extrovert in my old age.  Don’t know how it happened.

  4. Its the Supreme Court Stupid

Did you get your taxes done in time? Done and filed.

Do you do your own or have someone do them for you? I’ve done them on the computer for 25 years now.

Do you have a green thumb? Yup.

Are you an introvert or extrovert? It depends

    on Tax Day??? Odd.

And these are at odds with each other: Rubber Eraser Day

    Titanic Remembrance Day

I’m an introvert with a brown thumb. Maybe if I were more of an extrovert, I’d have more of a green thumb. Flu? Introvert, heh.

  6. Gee

    OK, I will.

What’s next in America — A movement to denounce the theory of gravity because it makes people heavy?

    – Neil deGrasse Tyson

Don’t give ’em ideas, Neil.  This reminds me of the people in North Carolina who have ruled that sea level changed me measured in a certain way, so as to disprove the effects of climate change.  Your beach house is still under water, but your belief system remains intact!  A true miracle.

The creator of Foursquare has just become mayor of His Parents’ Basement!

    – Rob Kutner

    Congrats, Mr. Mayor!

1741 – Charles Willson Peale, American painter, soldier and naturalist whose kids were all named after famous painters and mostly became famous painters themselves

    I guessed a hover!

    1889 – Thomas Hart Benton, American painter (d. 1975)

They didn’t have LSD back then, so how come his landscapes are so melty?

1939 – Marty Wilde, British temporary teen idol singer and songwriter

And father of Kim Wilde, yes?  Temporary?  Btw, if you ever come across a copy of “Kiss Me” by Marty Wilde and the Wildcats, please let me know!

    1990 – Greta Garbo, Swedish actress (b. 1905)

Many fine hovers today, but I really love this one.

  7. Did you get your taxes done in time?

    Yes

Do you do your own or have someone do them for you?

    Someone else

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery?

Huddle. But only if I’m really sick

Do you have a green thumb?

I have a black thumb. If I own a plant, it dies. The only plant I kept alive for any length of time was a cactus. They like being ignored.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

    I’m a talkative introvert.

Joke: How do you tell an introverted statistician (my profession) from an extroverted statistician?

The extrovert stares at YOUR shoes.

  8. princesspat

taxes….exemption filed, just like always. It’s a courtesy for the  busy tax guy 🙂

the flu…..when I was a young mom and when I was working I carried on in abject misery, now that I have perfected bed rest I haven’t had the flue!

green thumb……yes, and I can’t seem to stop planting just one more tree.

introvert or extrovert…..I seem to be both.

We leave for eastern Wa. tomorrow for round two of packing up RonK’s mom’s house. We’ll be there most of the week, so I’ll check in when I can. Thanks Floja!

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery?

    * stay home.

Do you have a green thumb?

    * no.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

    * introvert.

  10. mikidee

Monkies bite – and it hurts, bad (says the voice of experience).

Did you get your taxes done in time? Yeppers.

Do you do your own or have someone do them for you? I use Tax Slayer, so I guess I have someone do them for me – but I only do this because it’s convenient. Taxes aren’t hard if you remember everything is taxable unless it’s specifically excluded, then know what deductions you can take (not many in my little world). Correction – partnership taxes are kind of difficult until you get used to them.

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery? Both.

Do you have a green thumb? Surprisingly, yes. My poinsettia from last November is still blooming but I plan on killing it today or tomorrow because I am convinced it is the reason Spring refuses to come to Frostbite Falls. Film at 5. 😉

Are you an introvert or extrovert? I am an adapted introvert (an INTP according to the Meyers-Briggs mumbo-jumbo). It sucks the life out of me when I have to spend too much time with people or too much time “performing” but I’ve learned to do it, thank goodness.

I am a Hover Lover again today – thank you, floja roja! But I have a question – what is it with some of these weird portraits? Charles Willson Peale’s is just plain odd.

  11. Did you get your taxes done in time?

    Yes, ours and Son’s.

Do you do your own or have someone do them for you?

    We do them.

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery?

Last time I had flu was in 2000, in March. Son shared. I was out of work for a week. Since then I get flu shots.

Do you have a green thumb?

    No.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

    Mostly extrovert.

Did you get your taxes done in time? Did them myself, mailed them last week. No check enclosed, I’ll just add another check to the $10/month I’m still mailing the IRS for 2011.

When you are sick with the flu, do you valiantly carry on or huddle at home in abject misery? Huddle at home.

Do you have a green thumb? Definitely not.

Are you an introvert or extrovert? Introvert.

  13. JG in MD

I’m related to both Bassano and Benton above. But those few who share my birth year are always obscure musicians, usually from Britain.

  14. slksfca

I no longer have to file tax returns, being on Social Security and having no other tangible assets. I did file a few years back, the year of the stimulus payment, so I could collect my modest stimulus. But it felt alien to me as I hadn’t filed in a long time. Fortunately some online outfit (TurboTax or someone, I can’t recall) made filing really easy. I hate paperwork!

I’m horrible at having the flu, and tend to resent when the entire world doesn’t stop to minister to my needs. A big whiner. ;-p

Good at outdoor plants and gardens, but I’ve only been able to make one houseplant survive in my apartment. Part of the problem is that most of my windows face north. Another part is that I either overwater or underwater.

And I swing between introvert and extrovert. Lately the former is asserting itself.

Hope everyone has a good Monday!
