Saturday Morning Moose Check In – Enlightened Musings

Be sure and let your Peeps know where to find you.

For those that are new to the Purple, I would like to welcome you. Have fun taking a look around and checking out the your new digs. If you are an established Moose, pull up a Bassett lounger and grab a cuppa whatever type java suits your mood.

Morning Check In’s are for hanging out and visiting, gossiping, asking questions, and sharing. Please keep in mind that comments do not auto refresh. You have to click the refresh/reload on your tab to see new ones.

Also keep in mind that fierces don’t get you mojo. Being well behaved and following the golden rule does. The golden rule is very simple. “Be excellent to each other… or else”.

Morning Check In’s are also a good place to make a great second impression. My best piece of advice to those in this category is to leave the past in the past.

24 degrees out with an expected high of 49. No snow last night, I’m happy to report.

A Saturday morning earworm for you.

  2. Anti-gravity cat must be a Caturday special!

I am glad you did not get the snow. 35 degrees here, expected to get to 60 degrees but raining all day.

HAHAHA at “Vat of Cat Solvent”!!

Have a great day, all y’alls!!

late. Depending on where I’m going, I take a full box with me as I’ll invariably end up somewhere in public sneezing my head off.  I am certainly impressed with the new mechanics.  The shift lock could have been an expensive repair but they fixed it for $35.  This morning the outdoor spring/summer farmer market reopens and I’m anxious to see what goodies are on hand.  At the least I’ll buy fresh dill for another cucumber salad.  Going to rain for the next few days as well as being in the 60s and 70s.  Everyone have a great day, no matter what you’re doing.

will be 50 something later today and next week we break 70 – with rain, but I won’t complain – we need those April showers.

I’m heading out to assess winter damage to my roses and do some pruning.

in the mid thirties going up to the mid fifties. It’s Spring!

Am going to a gallery to catch an exhibit that is closing today, then do groceries, and then do some work on work. But, first, coffee.  Hope it’s a good day throughout Mooseland,

the forecast is for “breezy” but so far the wind has not gotten up. Yesterday ended up windy, the distinction is whether sustained winds are over 20 mph. Under that it’s not enough to stir up grit which is the distinction between nice and let’s go inside.

38 going to 62 with rain, very windy it says, though it isn’t windy now.  Have to make trips to goodwill and a friends house to drop off some stuff today.

My husband and I watched the descendants last night – the Hawaii one with clooney.  That movie was sad!  I didn’t know it was going to be so sad.

Weather conditions here on the Coast: currently overcast with sporadic rain predicted throughout the morning. Temperature is in the mid-50s, nice and mild.

Got in a sorta funny position in my sleep, and I actually fell out of bed at one point(!) but I’m fine and dandy so no harm done. 🙂

  9. Beautiful out there. Probably won’t be out much because of the pollen.

Here we have the Pixie Cat pondering the disappearing water and its miraculous reappearance. 😉

Spring break is over and our grandson returns home today. Our house will be so quiet! Next week will be a busy with the grand girls though as their parents both have to be at work well before school starts so we will go to their house for the early shift. We get weary, but it is so good to be able to really share their lives.

I’m up to my fourth or fifth cup of coffee. Can’t seem to wake up this morning.

I think I may have overdone it a bit yesterday with all the walking around the museum. It was totally worth it, but I’m paying the price for such unaccustomed activity. Heading off soon to lie down, and I don’t know when I’ll get up again. 😉

  12. now out of the oven. Heading downstairs to cut fabric. Nephew and his wife joining us for dinner later. Steaks, smashed sweet potatoes, green beans, biscuits, chocolate cookies, wine.

…are having an outdoor party or bbq or something. It’s overcast, but perfectly warm enough for such an event. BUT — and here I’m being a grumpy old cloud-yeller — their loud cackles of laughter aren’t as amusing from this distance as I’m sure they are to the partygoers. I may have to shut my back door. Ahh, city life! 😉

In other news, I just got back from a nice little walk. Pretty quiet in the neighborhood today for a Saturday (except for the party down the block).

For dinner I’m thinking about take-out from one of the Mexican places down the street (we have three in my immediate neighborhood). They make chicken quesadillas that are full of beans, rice, salsa and guacamole (in addition to the chicken and cheese). Basically a chicken super burrito, but with a grilled exterior. Nice and filling!
