‘Mornin’ herd. Hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was marvelously non-productive and partly snowy. I am priding myself on not actually knowing who won the Superbowl. Sooner or later I’ll have to look at the news, but it’s too early for that.

Before we begin, some important miscellaneous reminders:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

– Ratings: Fierce means Thumbs Up, Fail means Thumbs Down, Meh means one of three things: I am unFailing you but I can’t Fierce you, I am unFiercing after a mistaken Fierce, or Meh. Just Meh.

And one from me:

Refugees from a site of a different color BEWARE! Placement of the ratings buttons is the opposite of what you’re used to. Fierce (that’s good) is on the right, Fail (that’s bad) is on the left and there’s an extra Meh in the middle. Until your habits change be careful. I’ve failed or meh-d some terrific folks!

And now, on with the show…

Headed for a high of 36 with a little snow along the way.

Good morning Meese. Hope you had a lovely weekend and have awakened on Monday Morning bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and rarin’ to go. On the other hand, possibly not.

  2. The winner, according to Twitter, was the power outage. It was trending most of the night.

    #SuperDomeDe-Light?

    Top Conservative Cat @TeaPartyCat

Karl Rove sent Megyn Kelly down the hall to confirm whether the power at the #SuperBowl is really out. “My people say it’s on.”

The season started talking about the officiating and the season ended talking about officiating.

13 degrees in  Madison WI. Expected high of 17 degrees and light snow.

Exciting news from UK this morning – the human remains found under a parking lot in Leicester have been confirmed to be those of Richard III, the last English king to die in battle.

Historically, it’s a very significant discovery, and ends a 500-year-old mystery.

    It’s him!

Superbowl? :::yawn::: King Richard rules! 😛

Not rising, but trying to shine. I promise I will work hard at rising and shining later though.

11 outside right now. It might hit a whole 22 today(WOW). Expecting some snow this afternoon.

  5. Hi folks,

A long-time Moose, BTchakir (Bill Tchakirides) has had a brain tumor removed and is recovering.

I would like to see how many of the herd can leave a note of love and support on his beloved Under the Lobsterscope  blog (also found under the Moose With Blogs on the right bar under his Moose name). His family is watching it for him at the moment and I am certain that it would give him and them some warmth knowing there are others out there thinking about him.

Please, take a moment to love bomb Bill.

Spread the word if you can.

Having trouble getting moving this morning. Just no energy. Don’t understand it – was a slug yesterday. Just really dragging.

    22 now, maybe reach 27.

Snow, heavy at times, through the morning diminishing to snow showers in the afternoon. Snow accumulations 3 to 6 inches north and central sections, heaviest near the lake.

just opened the back door and it’s ‘snow quiet’ right now.

hope everyone has a great day.

chance of getting this job I interviewed for this past Friday.  I can’t afford to get my hopes up on this for many reasons.  I’m scared and anxious about this.

kids. We got a few inches of snow, but it was enough to close the schools on Friday, plus the roads were awful. Of course, the bad weather just had to coincide with a time when i needed to run around and pay bills and get errands done! But we got to have a nice snowball fight, and even built a snowman. I’m happy the kids got to have fun playing in the snow at least once this winter.

raynaud’s acting up, not to mention the sclerodermic arthritis in my hands.  i had hoped to finish my paraffin bath socks today.  i don’t think i can hold the needle.  i’ll try again later.

filed complaints against walgreens for shorting my meds through tx state board of pharmacy.  we’ll see what happens.  meanwhile am drafting letters to various physicians i know who deal with this pharmacy, along with letters to physicians i know who just want to know these things.

next step … insurance company to file the complaint.  not ready to do it right now.  the board one was easy you file it online.  the insurance company, i despise speaking with.  blue crucifix is just that, they drain you of blood until you’re blue and then crucify you all the while you’re paying for the privilege.

I’m starting to wonder if I had the flu. I had an itchy and runny nose, low fever, that headache, and fatigue. If I had the chills and body aches, I’d know for sure, but so far my symptoms had been very mild, but they did last a week.

I didn’t watch all the Super Bowl commercials, but did see quite a number of them. My verdict: All of them were duds.

And finally getting light outside. Most of you have your day well under way when I’m just waking up.

It’s good to be back home after our busy weekend celebrating my MIL’s 95th birthday….we filled the party room at her assisted living center with flowers, good food, friends and family, grand kids and great grand kids, and left her with a slightly dazed but very happy smile on her face. It was a great weekend.

A grey Monday morning out here by the coast, but they’re saying it will clear up this afternoon. Pretty chilly but not unbearable. We should reach the upper 50s today.

Last night I relented and watched the last ten minutes of the game. Not a football fan, but it was an exciting, if disappointing, finish.

Start your week with a truly fabulous day!

    Hey all,

My sweetie and I got out of Wyoming for a day and spent it in Fort Collins CO, where you could hear political discourse and it didn’t consist of the gubmint is ebil.

It was nice to have more than 2 radio stations to listen as well.

My dogs and step kiddo were very happy to be home though. I spent a day not watching or caring about the news, it was just time to connect with my honey.

Wow, the purple meeses? are early risers!

It has been a couple weeks since I joined and I have been lurking, reading and checking things out and I very much like it! Found you due to a post by a fellow purple person on FB.

It appears you have a check-in diary daily. So, five degrees here (central WI) with a promised high of 12 today with snow tomorrow and possibly Wednesday.

Didn’t watch the Super Bowl. DID watch Downton Abbey!!

these are cowardly vile humans who deserve nothing better than what they have given the animals.  i don’t say that very often, but i put these people right up there with child abusers, bullies and other assorted cesspools of humanity.
