Since 2008 – Progress Through Politics

Fursdai Furries

Those of you who already either know me or know of me know that I am a massive pootie person. We  moved into an apartment and now have a pootie, named Princess Ashley; however I grew up with both cats & dogs and I love both. I do not discriminate against any animal & love animal photos of all kinds. Please enjoy the following and add any photos that you think the community would like to see. Now, enjoy the photos & have some fun.

I would like to thank the ICHC website for the majority of these photos.

  1. SheltieMan

He’s on the IV all day today and again tomorrow. He’s still refusing most food, and his protein levels are getting too low. The trend of the blood work is encouraging in some ways, but also indicates a bad infection somewhere.

He’s getting antibiotic and antinausea injections, too. Our vet suspects he may have pancreatitis, an infection/swelling of the pancreas – hence the high white cell count. We’re trying all kinds of things to get him to eat. He’s still fighting and his blood work shows that.

  2. comment from an earlier diary from the Old Days (about a month before you hooligans showed up ;~):

    I’m Bispecious.

Tri, if you add a fondness for bunnies.

We shed the small dog that found a temporary home here after being rescued by a friend. Sweet thing, but small dogs have a flinch response that cats and larger dogs lack. She has a nice home where she can lapdog all day long now.

But Benny the Chocolate Lab embodies the Dogthusiasm that we think is their strongest trait. Literally boundless enthusiasm that is as fresh each time as it was the first. Being a lab Benny’s joy at the concept of running pell-mell after a stick and bringing it back for more is something he discovers every day:

    Hmm.. A stick…

Wait!! I know!!! You throw the stick as far as you can and I will chase it as fast as I can and bring it back!

Oh my god, oh my god! I can’t believe nobody has ever thought of this before! This is going to be awesome!!!

Teddie the cat exemplifies precisely the opposite appreciation for the world. Nothing is surprising, rather each pleasure is calmly removed from the cellar and decanted to be savored in optimal conditions with a connoisseur’s informed indulgence.

They bound the range of joy. The fresh sparkling joy of discovery on the one (slobbery) hand, the quiet revelry of intimate familiarity on the velvety other.
