Motley Monday Check in and Mooselaneous Musings

Good morning Motley Meese! Hope your weekend was lovely.

PLEASE Don’t Recommend the check-in diary!

Fierces on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

The morning check-in is an open thread and general social hour. Come back when time allows through the day – the conversation continues.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

19 degrees this morning, headed up to 37. Much colder than normal; cue climate change skeptics in 3…2…1…

Short day today. Slightly shortened day tomorrow. Then off on Thanksgiving road trip,  hooray!

    Happy Monday, Meeses!

  2. It is 23 degrees here on its way up to 33 degrees, morning snow showers expected. My Weather Channel icon cautions that because the snow (less than an inch) will be happening at rush hour, it will likely make things a bit more “exciting”. I am glad that the morning (and evening) rush hours are not part of my work day. When I have to make the occasional on-site client visit, I often get stuck in the traffic and it reminds me to be grateful that I have a job that keeps me in the comfort of my home office most of the time. No blaring horns here!!

I am laughing at this morning’s news feed!! Not the Iran deal or the final wind-down of the JFK retrospectives, but this:

Cruz: Filibuster Rule Change ‘Will Poison The Atmosphere Of The Senate’

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! This is the same guy who said he did not join the Senate to have 99 new friends when people told him to tone down his rhetoric. The same guy who started a PAC to defeat Senators of his own party who do not vote for the teaparty platform. I truly think that the biggest problem with Republicans is their lack of self-reflection. I am not sure if they just make up dumb stuff to say or if they truly believe what they are saying.

Have a great day, all y’alls!!

39 degrees in Austin in November — this is crazy. It’s not going to get much warmer, either. It’s raining but too warm for sleet, so no delay of work. I think we close early on Wednesday, but can’t find an e-mail saying that. Even if not, this is a short week.

I’m eating breakfast & drinking tea. I put a lof of lotion on my hands — they hate gloves — I always get really rough skin after wearing them. No, it isn’t the cold, because if I go gloveless it doesn’t happen. But then my hands are cold. Anyway, my knuckels are red, but my hands are warm. Earworm: Rise Up by U2.

My day starts with an early (on the west coast) physical therapy appointment, then I’d best start the Thanksgiving fun. Doing the flowers will be first, because that’s what I like best.

Brrr!  And we’re getting rain tomorrow and Wednesday.

Got Miss Pink Cheeks fed, dressed, and off to preschool. She stuffed her toy turtle under her pajama top and said she was expecting a baby, like Mommy. LOL!

Still getting over my cold, which was worse on Saturday. Have been dosing with cold meds nonstop, about to take some more.

Did not set foot out of the house the whole day yesterday. Today I’m washing the runner-type rugs because there’s a little weak sunshine. They can mostly dry outdoors.

Will make a chicken pie for dinner tonight. Planning to get a lot done today.

Hope everyone will have a good day and stay safe driving on wet or icy roads!

    above freezing (unlike yesterday when it never got into the 30s).  Just finished going through the emails I had when I got here – dropping by to check in before I start the next round.  Stay warm if you can.   {{{HUGS}}}

I’m here, on a chilly chilly day. Our low was something like 21 degrees last night. BRRRR!!

Sinuses are very unhappy today, and I’ve no idea why. Means I’m moving fairly slowly, and not bending down for anything unless I absolutely have to. Faceplants are not fun.

Spinning tonight, so I’m hoping I can clear this up by this evening. Sudafed and hot teas and soups are the rule of the day.
