Since 2008 – Progress Through Politics

If there is $ to arm the Syrians then there is $ to feed our poor & tend to our sick

We’re broke. I get it. We all get it.

The sequestration is horrible. We get that too.

Americans are going to have to sacrifice for the bullheadedness in Washington. We get that too.

We’ve all got to tighten our belts on this, it is going to be painful. We’ve heard you.

Question.

Where the heck is the money for arming the Syrian resistance coming from? Is there any more of it there?

I realize that they are people suffering horribly in a land you weren’t sworn to protect but can we maybe get matching funds for hurting Americans?

I have yet to hear a dollar figure on this Syrian escapade, I’m not really sure they even know what they are even going to do.

Maybe some matching funds? Can we spend 50 cents on helping Americans for every dollar in weapons we are spending for some ambiguous rebel group? Please?

Here is a request while we are saving the world. Can we please save some Americans while we’re at it?

(for some reason I cannot make a comment in this diary, sorry for such a non-Friday evening post and I hope all Mooses have a wonderful weekend.)

it’s the same old politicians wanting to put the money in the same pockets-at our expense.

I think you know as well as I do that the DoD budget is sacrosanct while the rest of the government funding is subject to the whims of austerity and the deficit.

Would be interesting to see some figures on how much we are spending and will spend on Syria.

So I can talk the blue states into revolt, then maybe they can get some infrastructure taken of. LOL 🙂
