Sunday All Day Brunch: The Guardian Series Part One

Cross-posted from Street Prophets)

Welcome to Sunday All Day Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new in your life. I have a couple of leads on where to promote my art so I’ve been updating all my old art on my website with new models and textures. I want everything to look as good as possible. I did a series in 2006 called the Guardian series where I tied everything together with the same dragon and rainbows. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do a series that was artistic and symbolic and united together. It wasn’t easy to do but the more I got into it the more I enjoyed creating it. The dragon was really a pretty clunky model and could not be posed. I just finished updating the whole series. These are the Guardians of the Seasons. I’ll be posting the Guardians of Time, Elements, and Concepts in future diaries. I’ve included my comments on the pictures from my website.

Guardian of Spring

(Spring is a contrast of new growth, rains and winds.)

Guardian of Summer

(The warmth of Summer sends many people running to the beach.)

Guardian of Autumn

(I love all the beautiful colors of Fall.)

Guardian of Winter

(When I lived in the Midwest I saw real winters with lots of snow and ice. It was pretty but oh so cold.)

  1. East central IA is as midwest as it gets. We don’t have mountains. We do have a Pike’s Peak State Pk in NE IA along the Miss. River.

What’s new in my life? We made some flight and motel reservations for a summer trip to Banff and Glacier in July. Never been there. It will be beautiful.

We invited 8 neighbors on our cul de sac to an appetizers and wine party next Saturday. It looks like all but one will make it. That will be fun.

Are your images all electronic media? The web site looks good.
