Since 2008 – Progress Through Politics

Andy Card is a Total Wenis

Seriously, this is how he wants it to go down?  I respect the fact that Andrew Card has served this country.  Public service is an honorable and difficult thing and the chief of staff suffers some of the worst hours in the country.  But seriously, this is simply absurd!

The Oval Office symbolizes…the Constitution, the hopes and dreams, and I’m going to say democracy. And when you have a dress code in the Supreme Court and a dress code on the floor of the Senate, floor of the House, I think it’s appropriate to have an expectation that there will be a dress code that respects the office of the President.

Wenis.

Mr. Card, I’ve got a pro-tip for ya.  If you want to hold future administrations to a very high standard of professionalism and demand that they show proper respect to the office and the country…..

YOU SHOULD PROBABLY NOT HAVE SPENT YOUR TIME IN THE WHITE HOUSE SYSTEMATICALLY DISMANTLING THE CONSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK WITHIN WHICH AFORESAID OFFICE OPERATES.

I simply cannot fathom how he has the chutzpah to go there.  We can’t all be Ronald Reagan or George Bush.  We can’t all spend valuable time and man-hours focusing on the appearance of professionalism in lieu of actually doing a competent job.  I’ll tell ya what, Andy.  I’ll get President Obama to wear a jacket if you can get George W. Bush to dedicate his life to fixing the disasters he created.

Andy Card is like the old syncophant at an all-white, plantation owners’ private club.  He sits around in his seersucker suit, drinking iced tea, existing off the good graces of some wealthy landowner.  He complains about how things ought to be proper, how good folks (aka white people) would never have stooped to such low extremes.

    What he’s really saying is:

Look what the N****er gone ‘n done, boss!

    He is an asshole supreme!

  2. Maybe it hasn’t!  Maybe we need to be looking at all those presidents who failed to wear the powdered wigs, eh, Andy?

Disrespectful upstarts, every one of them.

It seems rather ironic coming from the Joe the Plumber party, doesn’t it?  Oh wait, this is also the party of the $200K Sarah Palin and clan shopping spree.

I’m so confuzzled.  Is Obama an elitist or not?

Is an old school, Boston conservative.  He thinks “form” trumps “function.”

This is all part of the “Bush Legacy” burnishing that the Ex-Bushies are doing.  If you can’t make the case that he was functionally a good president, they you’re pretty much left with:  “Well, at least he knew how to dress for the job.”

That’s literally what they’re left with.  This is where they’ve chosen to draw their contrasts.
