Dear Cindy,
I noticed that you are now in the passenger seat with your husband on the Smear Talk Express when it comes to our military. Shame on you!
The one itty bitty teeny tiny piece of honor that your husband had left in this campaign is leaving your two sons, who are actively serving, out of the smear machine he’s conducting. But, you? Hell no.
You went to Pennsylvania today on the Smear Talk Express and spouted your garbage.
Let me tell you just a little something that I was not so happy about. My son, like so many others, and today like the Palin’s son, have served on the front lines, helping keep peace and helping freedom for other people. I’m a blue star mom, just like Gov. Palin is. I’m proud of my sons, but let me tell you, the day that Sen. Obama decided to cast a vote to not fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body.
I would suggest that Sen. Obama change shoes with me for just one day, and see what it means, and see what it means to have a loved one serving in the armed forces, and more importantly, serving in harms way. I suggest he take a day and go watch our fine young men and women deploy, get on those buses and leave with a smile and a charge.
Oh no you didn’t, Cindy. Let ME talk straight to you since it appears the Smear Talk Express has lost more than one wheel.
Your husband tried this same FALSE attack against Obama in the first presidential debate. And he FAILED miserably when Obama came back with the smackdown.
An estimated 55 million people watched this debate, and they all saw this scare tactic FAIL. Were you paying attention? After all, YOU WERE IN THE AUDIENCE.
But Cindy, let me ask you a few things, blue star family to blue star family.

Did you get a cold chill when your husband FLAT OUT REFUSED to support the new GI Bill?
Did you get a cold chill when your husband was voting AGAINST troops’ safety equipment for Iraq and Afghanistan on 3 separate occasions?
Did you feel even a cool breeze when your husband opposed mandatory downtime for our troops instead of continuing the endless swinging door of war theater tours?
Did you feel even a slight shiver when your husband voted LOCK STEP with Bush on invading Iraq and starting a war that had NOTHING to do with 9/11?
Do you feel anything knowing that 4,181 troops have been killed and 30,702 have been injured to date in Iraq and Afghanistan?
And did you even feel when your husband talked about staying in Iraq for a hundred years, risking hundreds of thousands of more troops lives?

Now, take a deep breath, Cindy. It may be a lot to take in, especially since you have been drinking your husband’s kool-aid for so long. But if you can grin and bear it, take a little look-see at all the “cold chills” your husband gives my military family and me.
So, Cindy, until your husband stands up and does the right thing for our troops and veterans, sit down and SHUT THE HELL UP.
Better yet, why don’t you come on over and join Blue Star Families for Obama? I really love our military, and I’ve taken the time to be thoughtful about my choice in Obama as our new Commander in Chief. I want the best for your military family, just like I want the best for mine.
