What Does Palin Read?

Over at MyDD, Scan has a great question: *”What does Palin read?”*

In fact, it is a question Couric asked, and which Palin could not answer.

Which raises the obvious question: What publications could Palin read?  What sources of information would not offend her sensibilities?

Honestly, other than Townhall and FOX News, I have a hard time thinking of anything she would read.  If anyone has any thoughts – or better yet, knowledge – of what she reads, it would be interesting to hear it.

She reads EVERYTHING.  Every single publication that dares be sent up to Alaska, she reads it.

I’m sure that there’s some crazy publication from her end times religious sect that she gets on a monthly basis.

She’ll be herself at the debate and TOTALLY RUN ALL OVER PALIN!

    Seriously!

Well, I suppose that is a possiblity, but if so, that lady is one hell of an actress. Someone should giver her an Oscar.

They’ve got her jumping at her own shadow.  Of course the governor of Alaska occasionally reads a paper or two, but she’s so terrified of making a gaffe (e.g. “Palin reads the lib’rul New York Times, which is not actually a journalistic organization”) that she thinks it’s better to say nothing at all.  That was the wrong call in this case; She should have mentioned some alaska papers.  Instead she just looks a lot dumber than she could possibly be here.  The average American may be able to symphatize with her not knowing what the bush doctrine is, but how many people honestly can’t name a single news periodical?

“All of them.” Jesus.  I think we can safely say that this woman cannot think on her feet to save her life, and she has absolutely zero skill in covering that fact up.  Thursday is going to be a massacre.  My schadenfreude is giving way to pity.

  4. The above represents the sound of me bashing my head off the desk repeatedly, my reaction when I first saw this story.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt:

“Oh, I think they’re just not used to someone coming in from the outside saying you know what? It’s time that a normal Joe six-pack American is finally represented in the position of vice presidency, and I think that that’s kind of taken some people off guard, and they’re out of sorts, and they’re ticked off about it.”

    sigh

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
