The Daily F Bomb, Friday 1/18

Happy Friday, F-ers! It’s so nice to see the week drawing to an end, except for the fact that we’re all a week older (which is great if you’re about to turn 21).

What do you crave more often, sweet or savory? What is your least favorite color? What song makes you run screaming from the room? If you could match up any two pundits in a cage match, which ones would you chose? Which one would win?

Used to crave chips all the time, but now it’s mostly sweets.

    Puce.

The Barney song. Just seeing it would have me fleeing.

Lawrence O’ and Rachel against anyone on Fox, but I’d especially love to see Bill O’ or Hannity blubbering. L&R would win, of course.

    Questions for the day:

Trees: Deciduous or evergreen? Evergreen in winter, deciduous the rest of the year

We need to check the weather for that date.  I presume that it was a dark and stormy night.

  8. slksfca

Such perfection in miniature. I got pretty good at growing them when I was a kid. Did you know that if you keep pinching off the leaves of a bonsai tree they will keep growing back smaller and smaller? 🙂

  9. fogiv

For the meat eaters: Rare, medium rare, or well done?  about 37% past medium rare toward medium (depending on the cut).  notable:  AFAIC, the best steak in the western US can be had at Jack’s in Redding, CA.  hole in the wall; smoke stained; been open since the 1930s. filet mignon comes 16 oz.  they serve steak: new yorks and filet mignon.  that’s it.  that’s the menu.  i think you can order prawns, but everyone in a 75 mile radius will know instantly, and hate you.

Trees: deciduous or evergreen? evergreens are more my bag.  my grandfather planted a blue spruce on his ranch shortly after i was born.  we’re both much bigger now.

What is your favorite kind of tree? ponderosa pine. smells like vanilla.

What song makes you run screaming from the room? pretty much everything on commercial fm radio.

If you could match up any two pundits in a cage match, which ones would you chose? sean hannity and a pack of wild dogs.  (again, i’m cheating).

that I have survived this year’s flu bug. if you haven’t had it yet be sure to get your flu shot (Of course I didn’t get the shot. That would have been the smart thing to do!) because the bug is no fun.

I get to go to work tonight!!!  YAY!!

If you could match up any two pundits in a cage match, which ones would you chose? Sorry, I don’t like violence…even pretend. For enjoyment it would be fun to see Bill Moyers and Rachel Maddow debunk any or all wingnut pundits. The look of confusion on their collective faces would please me.

I didn’t vote in the book poll…I have no loyalty any genre. Just depends on my mindset at the moment. Eh, those FREE!!** Nook offers on FaceBook aren’t always bad. Every now and then a little bubblegum for the brain is a good thing.

and I’m too lazy to answer all the questions. But the song that makes me run from the room faster than ANY song EVER…

    …is Some Nights by Fun.

    Like… I HATE it…. HATE IT.

I would rather be stabbed in the ear with an icepick than hear that song.

    No. Even more than that…

For the meat eaters: Rare, medium rare, or well done? almost burnt on the outside, pink on the inside

Trees: deciduous or evergreen?  Both, the combination of red, yellow, orange and green in the fall is spectacular. I’ve always preferred the multi-colored arrangement. Not that it happens here. 🙁

Gilligan or Maynard G. Krebs? Maynard, he’s lazy, like me.

What do you crave more often, sweet or savory? Savory. Like I’m craving now (which would be bacon, sausage, eggs over medium, potatoes and sourdough toast)

What is your least favorite color? Barbie pink. Paler pink is OK

What song makes you run screaming from the room? Don’t Stop Believing

If you could match up any two pundits in a cage match, which ones would you chose? I second virginislandguy’s suggestion of the drinking match between Noonan and Dowd, but let’s throw in Mary Matalin.

Which one would win? I have no earthly idea
