Talk Like A Grizzled Prospector Day

I can’t do the grizzled prospector because I haven’t seen enough  grizzled prospector movies, but I can compliment. Let’s see – I must praise PLF for his wonderful tweets, very witty and on point. And Jan F for her well thought out political commentary. And Gee because he has fabulous taste in music and is always around to pick up conversational slack. And Princess Pat who is exploring the great new music that some of us have no time to seek out. And everyone else who participates here because I love to hear from all of you.

Peanut butter? It is rumored that Iggy once smeared it on his chest, but that just sounds sticky (or would it adhere well to sweat?). I think toast is the number one best use. The crunch of the toast keeps the peanut butter from sticking too much to the roof of your mouth. Smooth peanut butter spreads better, making it more economical. It is also useful for cookies, though I still have never made peanut butter cookies at home. Some make Satay dipping sauce, yum. And that African Peanut Soup is lovely.

The only reason I know who the hell Bieber is is the amount of media noise he generates. My nieces hate him, so I have never been forced to listen. If I have ever heard any of this songs, I was blissfully unaware. He rubbed me the wrong way initially with that incredibly goofy haircut – I was amazed that girls could swoon over someone who looked so silly. The newer ‘do was a physical improvement, but it did not help his character any.

Everyone here at the Purple place is really nice. Always great conversations, and no yelling. And enough time to really read things, they don’t just disappear on you.

But, since it’s also Talk Like a Grizzled Prospector Day, try to say those nice things like a grizzled prospector might. (Why am I imagining early Walter Brennan?)

Sorry, no can do. but I can help with Belly Laugh Day. See attachments.

What is the best use of peanut butter?

if I can find any with no sugar or other sweetener, I’ll eat it, otherwise, it’s almond butter for me

Would you know a Justin Bieber song if it grabbed you by the throat and tried to strangle you?

No. He’s the next Britney Spears, whose “songs” I also wouldn’t recognize.
