  1. It’s Eat Your Vegetables Day? Do you?

    Yes.

    What veggies do you love?

Lots! Pretty much all leafy greens (cooked or in salads), peas, asparagus, is tofu a vegetable? (it sure isn’t an animal or mineral!), tomatoes, mushrooms of various types, olives (esp. kalamata and Alfonso), onions, scallions, many sorts of peppers etc. and, of course, GARLIC!

    What veggies do you hate?

The squashes are my least favorite veggies.

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

I think that all drugs should be legal, taxed and regulated. It’s not that I think all drugs are safe (some are, some aren’t…. nearly any substance can be overdosed on, even water), but that legalization would permit better regulation as well as changing a huge revenue drain to a significant revenue producer.

Portugal decriminalized small amounts of all drugs more than a decade ago, and nothing bad happened.

The War on Drugs doesn’t work. It ruins lives, is used to promote racist policies, costs billions and DOESN’T WORK.

Good morning…..I’ve been enjoying older Paul Simon tunes. He has an amazing collection of music.

    vegetarian

    What veggies do you love?

    kale, artichokes, spinach

    What veggies do you hate?

I hated brussels sprouts until I had them roasted, with a tahini sauce

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

they should never have been illegal – regulated & taxed, like alcohol

  4. Outstanding tweets as always!

It’s Eat Your Vegetables Day? Do you?

    yes

    What veggies do you love?

Lots of fruits, tomatoes, potatoes, peas, most beans, asparagus, cauliflower… more I could name if I were more awake.

    What veggies do you hate?

    brussel sprouts and lima beans

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

Copy/paste plf’s answer and that would get you pretty close to my answer.

Veggies? I have a love-hate relationship with vegetables. I know they’re good for me, but I just don’t like them. To make sure I eat them they’re either bought frozen and thrown into the crockpot with the beef or chicken, or bought as bagged romaine and eaten with creamy dressing.

In summer I go to the farmers market sometimes, and there’s lots of corn on big tables at the supermarket, so I buy that and nuke it.

Drugs? Legalize marijuana, I say. Loudly and often.

I love artichokes. But dipping every leaf in melted butter sorta defeats the purpose.

I love avocados. All those calories taste sublime.

Veggies:  love em.  Love broccoli, cherry tomatoes, corn, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, greens of all types, potatoes, avocado, peppers, etc.  the only thing I don’t like is mushrooms and that is a texture issue.

War on drugs:  fail.  Legalize and regulate.

It’s Eat Your Vegetables Day? Do you?

Not as much as I should.

    What veggies do you love?

Eggplant, peppers, corn, most greens, even squash (summer grilled with garlic; winter with butter, salt and pepper). Asparagus.

    What veggies do you hate?

I’m not sure I hate any (well, arugula), but I don’t seen to love any enough to eat as much as I should. Not to mention very fresh is the only way to eat them for me, which requires effort. 😉

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

Like Melanie said, copy and paste PLF’s answer. It would also provide us with revenue, and if doses were regulated there would be fewer accidental ODs (and if that had been done long ago, some friends of mine might still be around).

It’s Eat Your Vegetables Day? Do you?

I do! I don’t eat much meat…at all. I never eat chicken/other fowl (it is foul)…I will eat a rare steak RARELY (blue moons are more frequent). I do eat seafood.

    What veggies do you love?

    All of them.

    What veggies do you hate?

    None of them.

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

In a way, I am one of the victims of the War on Drugs. I spent time in my youth in Straight Inc…a torture chamber backed by Nancy Reagan (founded by GOP lapdog Mel Sembler). I got out. Mostly.

I am strongly for the legalization of marijuana and have been so my entire life. In recent years I have begun to ponder the legalization (or at least the decriminalization) of everything with the focus instead fully on rehabilitation (and/or just lettin’ plain old Darwinism do its thing).

Hope everyone has a good day!

Partly because Mom called it “trees.”

    I hate lima beans.

I love Sybil and the toilet paper!

  11. Gee

Iced tea – sweetened or unsweetened?

What are your favorite musical genres?

Have you ever solved Rubik’s Cube?

    Patios or decks?

    Ocean, lake, or swimming pool?

    Un.

    Rock, jazz.

    Haha!  No.

    Paddy O’Furniture.

    Ocean.

It’s Corn on the Cob Day. How do you prepare/prefer it? Grilled, boiled, roasted? With butter, or mayo and chile powder, or something else or not at all?

Have you switched from incandescent bulbs to CFLs  yet? If you switched, did you notice a difference in cost?

A lot of people I know have nasty summer colds now. Do you know any good home remedies?

How careful are you with your information online? If a website wants to know your location, for instance? Or if they want access to your Facebook account (if you have one)?

    Mmmmm, butter and salt!

Some switching, not much.  Haven’t looked at the cost.

    Something with alcohol.

    Not careful enough.

Do you have an embarrassing middle name?

What would your parents have named you if you were born the opposite sex?

Are you any good at lying?

Have you ever been on TV?

Can you pinpoint the main thing responsible for the Dumbing Down of America?

    Stapleton.  Huh huh.

    Hmm, no idea.

I’m as good at lying as anybody!

Yep.  As a volunteer at one of those PBS pledge drives.

    No Child Left Behind.

Are you good at making eye contact with strangers (like cashiers, etc.)? (I’m told by these people that it is rare.)

Do you believe in evil? If not, how to explain Hitler? Cheney?

Would you want to read the story of your life?

Do you think that blood ties have anything to do with “family?”

If you could live and be healthy without needing either sleep or food and drink, which of the two would you rather do without?

I think I’m OK with the eye contact.

Boy, oh boy.  That’s a big philosophical question.  And political, too.  And metaphysical.  I don’t know how to answer that!

That story would have to be dazzlingly written to cover up the dullness.

    “Family,” no.

Hmmm, I guess if I slept all the time, I wouldn’t miss the food.  Seems hard to get enough of either one!

Are you a blood donor? Do you know your blood type?

Drinkers – what is your favorite kind of whiskey?

What feeling do you have the most difficulty controlling?

What feeling do you have the most difficulty expressing?

Do you enjoy talking on the phone?

I have donated blood, but not lately.  I’m A positive.

    Bourbon, I guess.

    Anger.

I have so much difficulty expressing one that I can’t even name it!  😉

    Telephone is OK w/me.

    What veggies do you hate?

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?

    I do.

    I like/love most vegetables.

    I hate beets.

What is it good for?  Absolutely nothin’ (except the prison industry).  All.

  13. Gee

1903 – Ruth Graves Wakefield, American cook and businesswoman, invented the Chocolate chip cookie (d. 1977)

And I am forever in her debt.

  14. Gee

1949 – Snakefinger, English singer-songwriter and musician (The Residents and Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers) (d. 1987)

That’s mighty obscure!  (Although I didn’t know about any of his band associations.)  Oh, wait a minute, not Chili Peppers, just Peppers?

  15. Avilyn

It’s Eat Your Vegetables Day? Do you?  Yep.

What veggies do you love?  Most of them.  Artichokes are probably my favorites though.

What veggies do you hate?  Very few.  Eggplant.  Okra.  Beets.  Avocado.  Chickpeas (are they a veggie?).

Where do you stand in the War on Drugs? Do you advocate for any or all legalization?  The War on Drugs is dumb and only benefits the prison industry.  Other drugs…  well, part of me quails because of the potential harmful effects.. but then again, cigarettes are still legal.  So, regulate ’em like tobacco/alcohol I guess?
