Friday Coffee Hour: Check In and Hangout for the Herd

Good morning, Moosekind. TGIF!

PLEASE Do Not Recommend the check-in diary!

Recs on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

Friday Coffee Hour and check-in is an open thread and general social hour.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

In the low to mid 70s again this weekend, after a scorcher most of the week. As long as the weather is comfy for my weekend hikes…

    TGIF!

  2. It is 67 degrees here and has been raining for 40 days and 40 nights. Expected high of 81 degrees. For the first time in 4 days, the storms did not interrupt sleep. I am still tired though.

This has been a crazy news week and I feel a bit hung over. Or maybe it is the sleep deprivation or possibly seeing Scott Walker’s face too often.

I did not get much done this week and I can’t even muster enough energy to worry about it. I will do a reset tomorrow morning. Summer Solstice is at 10:51 UTC or 4:51 Central … less than 24 hours away.

Have a great day all y’alls!

We did not get any rain yesterday, even though parts of the area, including Alexandria, Virginia and Prince George’s county, Maryland, were slammed. I’m disappointed not to have rain as it means we’ll have to water the crops.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, thank Goddess it’s Friday! Miss Pink Cheeks goes home to her parents tonight. Yesterday evening her violin lesson was interrupted when she discovered she had a black tongue. She and her teacher rushed upstairs to the bathroom so Miss PC could take care of that problem with some judiciously applied toothpaste. Apparently Miss PC had got mixed up with a magic marker or crayon or something.

Looking forward to a Saturday of doing what I want to do, and that’s quite a bit. Hope to get some writing done.

Speaking of writing, it looks as if the handwriting is on the wall for Scotty Walker and Chris Christie! Whoo-hoo! Couldn’t happen to a nastier duo. Someone said that Zomney will be the Rethug candidate for POTUS in 2016, owing to a total lack of qualified candidates. Ha!

Wishing everyone in Moosylvania a good day!

weather in Moosylvania is uniform. Like everywhere else, it’s about 66 here headed for about 8o,

Agree with Diana in NoVa that the news about Walker and Christie is terrific! Alas, the news about Iraq is horrible. We are sending up to 300 military advisers?????? Depressing.

    a lovely day here.

Heading out later to do some shopping.  Nothing major on my agenda.

    Have a good day Meese.

Another really awful night’s sleep. Eating sweet potato breakfast & drinking tea. Wearing a skirt because I’m leaving in the middle of the day for a funeral (the woman from my church who was the director of Annie’s List). Not looking forward to walking around in the middle of the day when it’s supposed to feel like 100.

The SyFy channel premiered a new show last night, it was beyond awful. This Hollywood reporter review gets it hilariously right except they left out the misogyny

Playing U2 in my head to stay awake:

Heide is nursing a broken toenail, waiting by the door for her guy to return and I’m clumping around with this heavy boot. I can go to the pool though, and I can drive the automatic car so I’m not completely grounded.

RonK was in eastern Wa with his family this week…both Heide and I are glad he’s back home to walk us around!

    Office-type brushfires erupted yesterday at 3:45 – I managed to “contain” them by 5:00 (half hour after the office closes) and get to my QC meeting (which surprisingly was uncontentious and only ran 40 minutes – probably the last of the year I’ll able to say that about).  Trying to actually put them out this morning – making progress but…  Waiting for an approval before I can go forward on one, waiting on something to print out for another (why I’m here checking in but can’t stay), and the 3rd & 4th are waiting on information.  Sigh.  Hope everybody in Moosylvania has a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend.  {{{HUGS}}}
