Motley Monday Check-in and Mooselaneous Musings

Yes, it is that time again (No, NOT Howdy Doody Time). Time to deal with the animal known as Monday…

PLEASE Do Not Recommend the check-in diary!

Recs on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

The check-in is an open thread and general social hour. Come back when time allows through the day – the conversation continues.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right??

Currently 68&deg here in the Shenandoah Valley, with an expected high of 75. Cloudy today, rain tomorrow and the temp drops on us. Hope you all have a great week!

  2. It is 34 degrees in Madison and it is snowing. The high today will be 37 degrees and the snow will become rain and snow mixed this afternoon. The weather is so crazy that my weather desktop app has stopped working in stunned disbelief.

Another busy day for me. A light is finally forming at the end of the tunnel so I hope to be more present this week.

Have a great day, all y’alls!!

It was in the 70s when I got up, in the 60s now – going to rain, and be in the 50s when I leave work. And tomorrow — way too late for April Fool’s — the weather guy says it’ll be in the 30s tomorrow morning. And it’ll stay cool, though not that cool, all week.

Eating breakfast – black beans with spinach & tomatoes with chiles, avocado on top.

So sad about the shootings in Kansas. What do people like that think they gain?

Today will be spent cleaning up the patio and screened porch. Also hope to plant carrots and beets in the waist-high bed.  Tomorrow we have a 100 percent chance of rain so that’ll be the day to polish the silver and iron the tablecloth.

Lots of plans for this week, both housework and writing work. Everyone in Mooseland have a good day!

“goodbye” before heading south of the Equator – I just hope the freeze won’t be as hard as predicted (25F) as that could damage the fruit crop and will definitely put the kabosh on the azaleas and dogwoods that started budding/blooming last week.

My PV system goes live today after the city and SWEPCO inspectors do their thing.  Still thinking about renting a room to a returning “non-trad” – and she’s still thinking about renting one from me.  Us old fogies are pretty “sot ‘n r wayz” and neither of us are sure how combining would work – even at the very limited interaction that a “lodger” (rather than “room/housemate”) could be. We shall see.

Anyway, got stuff to do – Day 6 of Priority Registration among other things – Stay safe and warm no matter what the weather is where you are.  {{{HUGS}}} bf

My week with Ryan and his very fun birthday dinner Saturday night left me happy but exhausted yesterday and I slept long and late this morning. So I’m off to the pool and if energy allows we may drive to the tulip fields. RonK will regardless….his camera bag is by the door!

I love just being with the flowers and seeing how the Tulip Festival Poster captures the experience.
