Good morning, Moosekind. TGIF!

PLEASE Do Not Recommend the check-in diary!

Recs on the weather jar comment are still welcome.

Friday Coffee Hour and check-in is an open thread and general social hour.

It’s traditional but not obligatory to give us a weather check where you are and let us know what’s new, interesting, challenging or even routine in your life lately. Nothing is particularly obligatory here except:

Always remember the Moose Golden (Purple?) Rule:

Be kind to each other… or else.

What could be simpler than that, right?

A beautiful spring day here. Hopefully we’ve got it figured out this time and can avoid any more snow!!

    Happy weekend!

typical spring day but a bit brisk for this time of year.

Trying to decide if I want to begin “spring cleaning” – ugh.

  3. Vacation Brain Alert! Watch for slow moving bloggers!! I just spent 5 minutes looking for my slippers that I had picked up on my way into my office and were sitting on my other work chair.

It is 34 degrees here in Madison with an expected high of 37 degrees. Big winter storm in the upper Midwest that will probably stay north of us. Spring is still elusive.

I have been reading scraps of news while I was on vacation but haven’t been able to write much about it. I am really intrigued by another beleaguered rich complaining about being picked on. Poor Charles Koch!! Spending billions to destroy the lives and crush the spirits of everyone-who-isn’t-a-Koch isn’t enough to make you happy? You want to be able to do it privately? Sorry, Charlie. The Supreme Court said your money is free speech but they did not say that those vilifying your speech cannot also have free speech. Yet. Keep giving him hell, Harry. It is obviously getting under his skin:

Koch’s op-ed decried the “almost daily” character attacks lobbed at him, hinting at Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), who called Koch “un-American” on the Senate floor.

“Rather than try to understand my vision for a free society or accurately report the facts about Koch Industries, our critics would have you believe we’re “un-American” and trying to “rig the system,” that we’re against “environmental protection” or eager to “end workplace safety standards,” Koch wrote in the op-ed.

Why, yes, we do believe that. Because we believe our eyes, not your lies.

    Have a great day, meeses!

It’s chilly this morning but not in the 50s like they thought. Still, I had to get out a sweater.

Came in to work because I’m eating up all my sick leave with these treatments & I didn’t want to use even 1/2 hour that isn’t necessary. I’m going to tell them they have to discharge me or let me go up there less often, using up 6 hours every week is just too much.

Eating my breakfast of kale & stuff, drinking my tea. I’m going to a lecture tonight by one of my favorite authors, Marcus Borg. While reading 2 of his books – Meeting Jesus Again For The First Time, and Reading the Bible Again, I kept wondering how he got inside my head & wrote what I thought. And there’s a workshop most of the day tomorrow, and he’s speaking at the 11 o’clock service on Sunday, so I’m not doing the Capitol 10K, though I’m registered for it. But it’ll be great.

Definitely says it’s Spring when it’s in the upper 70s one day, you get a rain storm overnight, and it’s scheduled for the bare 60s the next.  Still waiting for my pv racks to get here but the install date is still next week so I’m not going to worry yet.  The installer said he’d “document” the install with pictures.  If he emails them rather than just handing them to me I’ll probably email them to JanF to post.  Anyway, everybody have a nice Springy weekend.  {{{HUGS}}} bf

My kidney stone adventure isn’t over yet, but compared to yesterday I’m feeling much better. I hoped it would just be gone this morning…and it was until I moved 🙁
