  1. It’s National Sea Monkey Day. Did you ever order those sea monkeys from the back page ads in comic books?

    No

How do you like your scallops?

I like scallops but I don’t have any particular favorite version.

What is the last biography you read?

I am currently reading Woodrow Wilson by John Cooper. The last biography I finished was Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power by Jon Meachem.

Whose life story would make a good film (that hasn’t been made yet)?

Biff, Christ’s childhood pal (h/t Christopher Moore).

I like scallops but I don’t have any particular favorite version. (There’s an echo in here…)

What is the last biography you read?

A few days ago I finished On Writing by Stephen King. It isn’t strictly an autobiography. Rather, he describes his development as a writer, and follows that with lessons on writing.

Whose life story would make a good film (that hasn’t been made yet)?

    drawing a blank here…

  3. Yes. I did order sea monkeys. They were not very successful or interesting.

I don’t have answers for the next three. Sorry.

Yes. Eric Holder should be more careful. The admin is tripping up on a lot of stuff this week. Are they trying to get it all out of the way at the same time?

no — I wasn’t really allowed to read comic books (never forbidden any book mind you — and I read a lot & way above age-level; my mom probably considered comics beneath me)

How do you like your scallops?

    alive & in the ocean

What is the last biography you read?

Bought the bio of Ann, Let the People in: The Life and Times of Ann Richards , but it made me miss her so much I couldn’t make it through. Loved Molly’s bio, it made me sad too but I think I read it all.

Whose life story would make a good film (that hasn’t been made yet)? Was discussing this on Get Glue on Saturday night — Bobak Federowski (the NASA mohawk guy), and he should be played by Zachary Quinto (who plays Spock in the new ST movies)

  5. Gee

    No sea monkeys for me.

Another cooking question!  (Yeah, I know, it’s really an eating question.)  I watched a couple of seasons of Top Chef with the contestant, Jamie, who made scallops about 70% of the time, and I still don’t know the answer.  😉

    Ginger Baker, I think.

Drawing a blank.  I’ll keep thinking.

Best Mahavishnu Orchestra clip I’ve ever seen.  So many of them have crappy sound.  The Inner Mounting Flame was the album I didn’t know I was looking for.  Hit me like a tornado.

How do you like your scallops? Allergic to most seafood like that.

What is the last biography you read? Mary Queen of Scots

    we’ll have on the ridiculist.

I dint see much movies or comic books out where we lived; nearest store/bus mile away. Was a kid who had Superman comics we saw some and he sent away to get a #10 Daisy Air Rifle (to shoot bb’s.) This was a big mistake and got him and a couple other 12-yr-olds and a bunch of windows in trouble. They mowed lawns, delivered papers, shoveled driveways and got no allowance for @ a year-to pay their dads back for replacement costs. And the rest of us learned a lesson. Consequently and secretly, sling shots and bows and arrows increased in popularity, miraculously without major calamity.

    Hello.

Sea Monkey: Nope, but I really wanted those X-ray glasses for, uh scientific reasons, yeah that’s the ticket.

Scallops: Wrapped bacon and cooked in butter. Unfortunately, they’re in the budget only twice yearly.

Biography: The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin via the Gutenberg Project. It’s FREE! Now I need to acquire a big biography of Franklin. Recommendations from Moosers welcome.

Film of life story: Richard Feynman. He used to hang out in topless bars and his English wife called it ‘his club’. I like that.
