Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat? Chocolate, wine, and fruit.

How good is your vision? Not great. If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?  I have both plastic and wire rimmed glasses. I have both distance and reading glasses since I hate the graded bifocals.

Have you ever broken any bones? No. My vision sucks, but my bones are really strong.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two? Somewhere in the middle. I had a great time, but I did well enough to be accepted to grad school at UPenn.

if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat? fried food

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames? horrible – am now being treated for glaucome, and will have cataract removal over the summer.  two pairs of wire frame and one plastic – have distance (driving) glasses, a pair for using the puter and another for reading.  Like bjm I can’t stand the graded bifocals.

Have you ever broken any bones? years ago – broke a toe.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two? undergrad I was a student activist – which got me kicked out of several schools.  Grad school was a serious student.

  3. Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

Charcuterie. Salami, proscuitto, various sausages and cured meats, cheeses, olives,

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

20/60 in my good eye, about 20/1000 in my bad eye. They don’t work together. I like plastic frames.

Have you ever broken any bones?

    No.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

Neither. I didn’t study much, but I spent my time reading, playing chess and go, getting into arguments (hard to believe, right?), and just sort of messing around.

  4. Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat? lots of chocolate

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames? Vision really bad. I used to wear contacts all the time but now do glasses with plastic frames.

Have you ever broken any bones? My little finger when I was a small child.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two? I majored in Theater Arts so I studied a lot and partied.

got to see him at a small club in SF once, such a blast! This was before The Flatlanders.

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

Bacon cheeseburgers. It’s my worst weakness. Warm fresh bread with BUTTER.

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

Gettin’ worse every day. I hate bifocals, so I have one pair for distance and one for close-up. Still don’t need glasses for the computer, but my screen is really large. Plastic lenses for me…the wire ones with the pinchy nose things give me headaches.

Have you ever broken any bones?

I don’t think so…I cracked a rib once, but it didn’t break in two or anything.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

I think I managed to balance studying and partying pretty well, but I was ten years older than everyone else and pretty motivated to succeed. Also, I was a single parent and couldn’t get out as much as others did. Still, there are some blurry periods here and there 😉

It’s been years since I’ve heard the original – I usually listen to the version on “Live Bullet.”

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?  Pizza, ice cream, chocolate

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames? I’ve worn both, but now have wire frames.

Have you ever broken any bones? Oh, yeah…

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the two? Not a good student, but not a partier. Too much of a workaholic the first time. Second time, I was still a workaholic, but I was a better student.

    Eat:  guacamole, cheesecake and bacon

Vision:  good near, poor far.  I’ve worn glasses since highschool.

    Broken bones:  nope

College:  I was a reasonable combination of the two.  I did we’ll enough to get into vet school but I hung out with some serious slackers.  They were fun.

International No Diet Day: What would you eat? I’d have to think about that. If I could have anything I wanted I’d make sure my fruit was always sweet and my meat was always tender and flavorful.

How good is your vision? Bad all my life. Myopic, presbyopic, astigmatic. If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames? Would wear the frameless, almost invisible ones people on TV wear if I could afford them. I used to have a pair.

Have you ever broken any bones? No.

In college, were you a serious student, party animal, or combination? Both, and I wasn’t very good at either. The question my parents asked me wasn’t about my grades, it was Are you having a good time?

What are those Flemish people carving up?

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

Coconut Gelato on chocolate brownies (and throw in a couple Crepes Suzettes in observance of their holiday)

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

My vision is getting worse and worse. Sad part is I didn’t even notice until I looked at some early paintings and wondered why I was signing them now with much bigger lettering. I needed glasses. Tried wire at first but really like the plastic frames now

Have you ever broken any bones?

    Toes and fingers.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

Terrible student. Parents kicked me out for being gay so ended up in Key West which answers the party animal question. 🙂

  10. if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

chocolate, potato chips, french fries, mashed potatoes, beef, red wine, scalloped potatoes, caramels, fruit, scotch, hot and sour soup, …

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

Vision is bad. I have 4 5 pairs of glasses I use regularly. One pair of readers I use at the computer is frameless; 3 pairs are partial wire frames (those are the good prescription bifocals); 1 pair of readers has plastic frames around.

Have you ever broken any bones?

    a toe

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

My first two years I was pretty careless about my “studies.” After I got married, I took it very seriously.

  11. slksfca

…my recent inability to make a pie last through the week. Yesterday I abstained from buying another one for that very reason.

I don’t mind plastic frames but mine are metal, a variant of wire-framed in a coppery finish. What the hell, they were cheap. I’ve seen some new and trendy wooden frames but I don’t know if they’d look good on me.

Broke my arm in high school. It still hurts just before rainstorms.

I’m afraid I was more of a party animal, but without drugs or alcohol. I was always too eager to ditch serious study for whatever hijinks my friends and I happened to dream up.

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

Cheese. There’s this white cheddar my store has….

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

really bad – contacts since 7th grade or so, I can see just past my nose with no lenses; glasses are metal

Have you ever broken any bones? Yep. Ankles. Each one at least once.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

Started out extremely serious. I had gone to a seriously academic high school – so much so that my first year of college was actually easier than high school; but it took a while to get out of that mindset. Actually, one of the biggest regrets of my life is not going with friends to see U2 on their veru first American tour – before they were U2, just another band on tour supporting an album I liked. I had a paper to write or some such idiocy. By the end of college, I was out dancing with friends till 2 am 4 nights a week, at least.

    Ice cream!

Can’t give you any numbers on the vision, but it was pretty much perfect until my mid-40s, when I started having trouble reading the teeny-tiny clues for the Sunday crossword.  When I found myself buying a little magnifier, I said, “Hey, idiot!  Time for glasses!”  My eyes are OK, but not great, for distance.  Terrible for reading.

I’m wearing wire frames at the moment, but I could imagine myself in plastic if I saw the right style.

Never broken any bones.  Fingers crossed.

    I was a lazy-ass, actually.

to make sure I’m in a current diary. LOL. The FP list is kind of confusing.

    Anyhoo…

Food: if I had homegrown tomatoes- as many BLTs as I can eat.

Very bad vision. I think wire frames are cool, but I wear plastic because wires have those nose guard thingies that get grungy over time and adjusting them over time can be a PITA.

Broken bones: Yeah, I mentioned that here before,  broke an arm bone near my wrist when I slipped and landed smack-dab on my palm at Wekiva Falls in Florida.

I always made sure to complete my studies, some courses I could get by without studying, and I still had time to party.

Good morning…..Billy Bragg’s music is new to me, so as usual I’m having fun listening and sharing.

  18. princesspat

no diet day…..a sandwich with whole wheat sourdough bread, oh yum!

vision/glasses…..my vision changes so I have lots of glasses…by each computer, in my purse, in the car, for outdoors, for close sewing, for reading, for general use….drives me crazy! And heaven help anyone unwise enough to touch my stash, heh.

    broken bones….nope

college….I was shy and painfully serious until I met RonK….he lead me astray!

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

cheese.  pretty much every kind I could get my hands on.

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?

glasses for reading.  I effing hate wearing any kind.

Have you ever broken any bones?

    no.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?

relatively studious.  not much of a partier.

    from the bubbapod..

  20. mikidee

It looks crazed. I know that look.

[I]f you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat? Pot roast w/mashed spuds and gravy – and some lemon meringue pie; cream of wheat w/butter and sugar; a good chocolate malt; onion rings; nachos supreme….

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames? Not the best and getting worse. Plastic – the nose-thingies on wire rims are gross (mine have actually turned green!).

Have you ever broken any bones? Yep (tailbone).

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two? Once I learned how to study I figured out how to get ‘er done fast and efficiently so I could err on the side of partying. Worked well enough for me through undergrad and that other school.

Since today is International No Diet Day, if you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without any consequences (digestion, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight gain, etc.) what would you eat?

A vanilla cake with the biggest, sugariest rose decorations you could find.

How good is your vision? If you wear glasses, do you like plastic or wire frames?  Vision is pretty awful.  Had corrective lenses since 8th grade.  If I don’t have my contacts in or my glasses on I can’t see more than a foot past my face.  When they came around to test our vision in 8th grade, I covered my left eye first (turns out my left eye is stronger than my right eye, but that’s not saying much.  With my right eye, I had to go all the way up to the “E” in order to be able to read anything on the chart, and even then it was blurry.  It’s only gotten worse.

Oh, and when I go for glasses, usually it’s wire frames; but I prefer contacts.

Have you ever broken any bones? Confirmed broken?  No.  I suspect I broke my pinky toe once, but since they don’t do anything for that aside from taping it to the next toe, I didn’t spend the $ to get it X-rayed.

In college, were you a serious student who studied all the time, a party animal, or a reasonable combination of the the two?  A combination, I guess.  Definitely progress from more serious student to slacker over the years, at any rate.  Partly because I had a 4 year scholarships, but realized after 3 years that while I’d been on the teacher cert track, I really didn’t want to be a teacher, and I knew there wasn’t enough time to switch majors & still graduate in the year I had left.  My friends & I weren’t really “partiers” though – we were geeks.  So late night gaming sessions, etc. were more the thing.
