Since 2008 – Progress Through Politics

Friday September 18, 2009: The Day in Tubes

Yeah I know. It is not Friday. I have been bad. And lazy. You know who is none of the above? First Lady Michelle Obama.

How many of you think Mrs. Obama will be considered the greatest First Lady, the United States of America has ever had?

The Onion reveals another growing problem in the US.

Isn’t there any place where bigotry won’t raise its ugly, ugly head?

Headzup has caught up with Erik Prince of Blackwater…er, Xe…er, oh whatever the hell they are calling themselves this month.

I think the first clue to realizing that a Christian is a lunatic, is when they come armed to family events.

Or when they start harassing the media at one of their conferences.

To be fair and balanced, they apparently gave fox the same sort of treatment.

Mr Boner has been citing Jefferson lately.

I wonder if he would like to read a few other Jefferson quotes to the media? Such as:

“I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature.” or “Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law” or “Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man” or “Religions are all alike — founded upon fables and mythologies” or “The Christian God is a being of terrific character – cruel, vindictive, capricious, and unjust”

Probably not.

I am not a huge fan of Howard Kurtz, but it would seem that fox has gotten under the skin of a few folks at CNN.

So Mr. Boner, should that “rebellion” be from the top down or bottoms up?

and would like to congratulate Bryan Cranston on his second Emmy win for Breaking Bad. God, I love that show. If the award couldn’t be split between Hugh Laurie, Michael C Hall, and Cranston, (tough choice IMHO) then I am so pleased his show is getting some very deserved recognition.
