August 2010: The Month in Tubes

Ahem. Bad Hollede! I have been trying to work on teh ‘Tubes’ for a while now, but a couple of little imps (you know who you are;~) have been, um, distracting me, and in fact, holding me hostage when I log onto my computer;~J LOL. Ah well, I guess it wouldn’t happen if I didn’t let them lure me away from my (self) appointed duties;~P It has been a lot of fun and I have sorely missed chatting with my on-line buddies, so please forgive my indulgence…

That being said, on with the ‘Tubes’!

I noticed this on teh MSNBC and laughed my ass off. This tube was put out by collegehumor.com, a group of amazingly talented folks, who have (IMHO) nailed the lunacy of the media and the daffy criticism from the left and right toward President Obama.

Let’s see, no one is happy…maybe he is doing something right;~P

Edward Current explains why Jesus would be a Teabagger.

I heart Edward Current.

Shocking video of Mr Breitbart has been uncovered by Karinmoveon! Now we know where his true allegiance lies…

Ok, so I am too easily amused. It does make the point though.

I have noticed a disturbing trend lately in politics and American society in general. The Onion further explains …

We may laugh at this parody, but the actual disgusting, racist attitudes displayed by our elected officials and too many fellow Americans is horrifying.

Sometimes it is the little things I notice, like commercials returning to the use of minorities to portray the negative. Or the big things like the accusations of Black racism by those poor marginalized white folks. Am I just imagining this (not so) subtle shift over the past year?

Ok. So I am not imagining it. Damn.

Here is one to cheer you up. It has been a while since I have seen a bad thing said about a republican on the TV machine.

So perhaps I am exaggerating about the no bad news on pugs. Don’t you miss Vitter in a diaper just a little?

So this is a bit old. Just remember I didn’t have internet for like six months. I fell in love with it immediately.

Sorry about the lack of cohesion (do I ever have cohesion;~? but I have been working on this tube for a month or so. Heh. It has been tough getting back into the swing of things. I will try to do better next time.

Will post a better comment later, but omg… I am so tired it’s like I’m stooooooned.

I haz watched all the tubes, though, since getting home from school — and it is a great sampling indeed. ; )
